Big Bear Choppers Venom Prostreet. Built it in my garage. It was awesome.

My dad bought our 1st and second 2 wheelers (after swearing that there would never be a motorcycle in the family) a 1970's era Sears Allstate 125cc scooter and a late 60's vintage Vespa 150cc scooter (wish I still had these). I bought my 1st real bike a 1970 Yamaha RD350, it was new and I ended up riding it from Merced CA. to Corpus Christi, TX. (via L.A, Phoenix, Tucson, Del Rio), to join the USAF, I later rode it from Keesler AFB, Biloxi, MS. to Corpus Christi and on to Williams AFB, Chandler, AZ. Decided that if I was going to keep riding cross country that I needed a bigger bike! Sold the RD and bought a 1970 Triumph Bonneville, followed by a 1972 Honda CB750, Yamaha TD 360, 1978 Yamaha XS 1100, 1983 Honda VF750F, 1986 Suzuki GSXR1100, 1990 Harley Springer Softail, 2003 Harley Electra Glide (100th Anniversary model). Gave up riding when I had both my knees replaced.
Not mine, but looks just like mine did! Wish I still had it! Attached File |

My parents never bought me a motorcycle.
First motorcycle I bought and paid for was a Suzuki 1971 TM 400 in 1977. Rode it at Saddleback, Escape Country, Indian Dunes, Hungry Valley, El Mirage and a few other places. My first street bike I bought and paid for was a 1975 Honda CB750F in 1980. Current rides are a 2019 Kawasaki Z900RS Cafe, a 2019 KTM XCW 300 TPI and a 2022 KTM EXC 500 Six Days. |

In the early 80's as a working adult got a 1976 Yamaha XS500. Slapped some cafe bars on it, and proceeded to fail the riding exam... twice, before I passed.

'73 Yamaha mini-enduro. I can still remember giving Tammy S. a ride and those boobies planted firmly onto my back.

2004 CBR600RR. Brand new. Not a lot of low end torque but that sucker would do 71mph at 16000 redline

Got this one in 73. Not mine but it looks the same Attached File

Quoted: I quickly outgrew the Indian and convinced Dad the Japanese were no longer a threat...traded for a red 1978 Yamaha DT175. In hindsight, I never should have sold the Indian. The Yamaha ended up getting stolen from our driveway...but that's another crazy story. https://i.postimg.cc/SR03wySv/DT-175.jpg View Quote |

Quoted: 72 GT-550 2 stroke . stock photo. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/341059/GT_550_jpeg-2374659.JPG View Quote Bought one of those brand new in 1977. It was just over $1200. Watched 2 guys pull it out of its crate and put it together, took about 3 hours and I rode it home. Only reason I picked it up was that I was missing my H2 and this one was deeply discounted (bought it in Sept near the end of riding season). First bike I ever owned that had electric start and a digital gear indicator. Very reliable and was great on gas/oil. IIRC it went through one quart of oil for 1000 miles. Wasn't as quick as the H2 but it handled and braked much better. Rode that bike for years until the 1981 CBX came along. First bike was a Suzuki 80 trail, bad ass because it had a dual sprocket on the back wheel and came with the proper amount of chain links and tools to swap it over from street to trail riding. Transmission was a bit odd, 4 speed, with a 'four down' shift pattern. Nothing worse than downshifting going uphill to find out that you were already in first gear.... LOL |

1971 , a mini-bike with a 3 1/2 hp Tecumseh motor I believe , no rear suspension and one small front triple tree spring in the front , me and that bike beat the piss out of each other
gas was around 25 a gallon |

1st. Motomarina Sebring moped. Got it for free, Dad and I got it working, and putzed around side streets for a little while. No title = not legal. Sold it
2nd. Tractor Supply minibike. Had some fun with it. 3rd. Harley XL1200V Sportster. Was riding it a few days ago. |

Last year (I was 41) I bought my first bike, a Yamaha Virago 750. In January of this year I decided I wanted a bigger bike, so I bought a Harley Electra Glide.
ETA: I forgot that I had a 1983 RM 125 in the mid 90s. That bike had two speeds; idle and wide-open throttle with not much in between. I had a ball riding it but it scared the hell out of me sometimes. |

Quoted: A sears Golden Pinto, then a 71 Honda Minitrail. Had a fun little CRF50 in my teens. Bought a DRZ later in life, but have since sold it. Still have my 2 first minibikes though View Quote Pretty sure I had that min-bike or one very similar. Springs on the rear of the seat. I think it had a 3 1/2 HP Tecumseh. It had only a rear brake and it was a cable operated disc that used the rear sprocket for the disc. What could possibly go wrong. |

1986 kawasaki KDX 80. Great bike. Rode it way too long. Wanted a 125 but parents said he'll no.
Lusted after bikes until I finally got one in 2010. 2010 Yamaha R6-S. Yoshi exhaust, BMC race air filter, Power Commander 5, and many hi-vis mods to be seen. Had to get rid of it after run in with the law and legal system. (103 in 55 country road) Attached File Attached File Traded for a dirtbike. 2016 Suzuki RMZ 250. Attached File Stadium bikes suck ass in indiana. Traded for 2018 Husqvarna TE 250 Enduro. Attached File Sold it in 2020 as there just isn't alot of places I like to ride near me. Really missed street riding. Just put money down to get a 2022 Yamaha MT10. June/July ETA. So exited. |

I started racing at 14 years old 1970/71
My bike was a purple Yamaha 90cc, modified bored, bigger jets and expansion chamber. The kawasaki 100 was the bad ass at that time. Bultaco and Bridgestone were fast bikes too. Those were fun days |
|
1960's vintage Bridgestone 100. Bought it with paper route money. Upgraded a couple years later to a Suzuki 185 and my last bike was a new 1978 Suzuki 550. Sold it a decade later after getting married and it having sat in the barn for a couple of years.
Still have a cycle endorsement on the drivers license. |
