Quoted: Holy fucking shitsnacks, that was hard to sit through. I kept hoping everyone would die, it was so fucking bad! And that's a shame, because if anyone deserves to survive the apocalypse, it's Morena Baccarin. And "fat"??? "Gerard Butler is getting fat"??? In what faggot fistfucking fantasy is Gerard Butler "fat"? Fucking stupid. The movie was horrible, how could you get sooo much SJW BULLSHIT in a movie when the main characters, the "heroes" are white??? No one was prepared, no one took advantage to equip themselves when on the move, everyone drove on the main highways and were surprised when they ran into gridlock. I'm not talking like arfcom prepared, I'm talking, "Honey, a comet is supposed to hit us in a month, maybe we should stockpile more cheetos and beer" prepared. They had all this time beforehand, but no one bothered to do any shopping. I won't talk about the total dumbassery and fucktardery that occurred once the bodies started hitting the floor. This wasn't even as good as 2012 or that silly shit with John Cusak. View Quote 2012 was the silly shit with John Cusak lol |

Quoted: Just saw it with my family right now, we all agreed it's the best one we've ever seen. And it wasn't the typical disaster movie full of CGI, most of it was just about a family trying to survive. Really recommend it, watch it when you can. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1M8s0w1Fzm4 View Quote I worked on that film. I'm even in the credits. Haven't seen it yet. |

These Final Hours Official Trailer #1 (2014) - Nathan Phillips Movie HD |

The whole premise of the movie was ruined at the end.
Click To View Spoiler so the kid needs an insulin pump, and damn near dies of shock at one point, but then he somehow survives 9 months in a bunker? And I guess he'll be totally fine now that the world had been obliterated? Did all the insulin factories and equipment survive? I dont think so. The kid died. The writers were too scared to write it that way.

Just got done with Soma. Probably the most depressing video game i ever played. All life was wiped out except for a few "survivors" in the oceans depths.
I think a smaller comet/asteroid was responsible for The Road. Not sure how you could survive shit like that. In some of the computer models on youtube, they talk about the surface temperature being between 600-700 degrees with raging firestorms. Even if you survived the extreme heat and following extreme cold with darkness, you would have no food. here is one documentary. A little cheesy. Failed To Load Title |

View Quote If sufficient measures were taken (and it'd take years of prep), a population could be sustained underground (deep, but not deep enough to run into problems with the geothermal gradient), permanently. Hydroponics, etc. Although, at that point, you're basically operating a space station...on Hard mode. Probably an easier option would be to actually colonize the Moon and Mars (and deep space). Easier to get power and resources (relative to being stuck in one hole in the ground at a single location on Earth). |

Need a movie where there is the usual asteroid inbound, riots, special elite go into bunkers. Then everyone else cheers. It's all a act to get them to just go away.

Watching it now, got half hour left.
Pretty good movie, I forgot about it being out. Definitely shows how unprepared you can be. |

I might watch it - Some of it was filmed near my home - Its interesting as that the road where filming took place is used for so may film/TV sets. Generally I don't watch movies in an effort to not give Hollywould power Their influence over Georgia is too much and essentially a left invasion. They priced themselves out of California and Seattle and soon GA.

Can we address the fact that the OP said he watched it on Amazon Prime and yet it's not available on Amazon Prime for anyone else? Is it possible it's not available for everyone?

I enjoyed it. Was actually decent for an end of the world flick.

Quoted: I theorize they didn't let it into the US because they planned to make a version based here. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: These Final Hours is my favorite. I theorize they didn't let it into the US because they planned to make a version based here. @Bama-Shooter I bet it is stuck in development hell, but looks like the American Remake was supposed to be a series (like they did with Taken) and from the synopsis, it doesn't sound interesting at all. These Final Hours, set after a world-ending meteor strike, follows three siblings in the San Francisco Bay Area as they race to get to their estranged father’s bomb shelter that can withstand the end of days. The series tackles the question of not only what would you do, but how would you want to remember yourself if the world was ending. |

Asteroid strike will be very bullish for the stock market because it increases the likelihood of fresh monetary stimulus from the federal reserve

we meh. had a problem with "all whites are evil" and "all blacks are nice and helpful and were innocents"
Also no way that you could drive from TN to the Canada in 12 hours with the end of the world happening. |

What I loved about the movie is it sets itself apart from other disaster films, by making it clear from the beginning there is no stopping it. There aren't space cowboys coming to save the day. The disaster isn't the focus, and as far as I remember they don't even specifically say what caused it. It's just a backdrop to show how the different characters face mortality, in the end what matters most to them. |
