She fails to understand the concept of a Federal Government of limited and enumerated powers.
Repeal of the 2nd does not somehow invest the Federal Government with the authority to regulate ownership of firearms to the extent of confiscation. That authority is not mentioned in the constitution and would not fall under normal policing powers. The 2nd describes a pre-existing natural right, and prohibits infringement upon it. It is not a grant of a right anymore than are the others comprising the Bill of Rights. She's a half-wit. |
