Sure, as a unique voice she’s a drop in the ocean (cesspool), just saying what a million other equally unique bloggers would if their parents were rich enough to cover the difference between what a glorified blogger earns and what it costs to live and drink in NYC.  Journalists create the ‘national conversation’ by what they write and talk about. They create and curate, and police the boundaries of, that with which people who consider themselves informed are supposed to be conversant and have opinions on.  Along with entertainment and academia, they tell us what to think about and what to think about it.  Their influence is tremendous.
