I was a Glock guy for years. Still shoot a Glock regularly, carried either a 19 or 26 almost exclusively for years. Shot a P2000 a while back and I was sold. It's barrel length is in between a Glock 26 and 19, and the grip is barely shorter than the 19. The slide and grip however are rounded and much for comfortable for IWB carry.
Holding 2 less rounds then the 19 is made up in accuracy. When I rented a P2000, I shot it more accurately than the 19s I've put thousands of rounds through. The fantastic ergonomics, reliability, and sleek lines, make it the best concealed carry weapon. Prove me wrong. Attached File |

No.
Personal preference aside, it has a mediocre trigger, less capacity and pricey mags compared to competitors. I would take a Walther P99 AS anyday over it, not even mentioning G19, CZ P01, or a M&P 2.0c. |

Carried a P2000 for several years, they are not bad pistols. G19 is the answer to best CC gun.

I prefer the USP Compact but only because of the cocked and locked option.
I think the P2000SK is a little more versatile since it has both compact and subcompact mag options/capacities. |

Change my mind threads should be banned. Change my mind....
HK home of the $40 magazine, but otherwise great pistols. They seem to be GD's soup de jour this season. |

Love my H&Ks. All of them.
Don’t have a P2000 although I have the SK model. Really digging the USPC right now. |

I disagree, the p2000 is a very good gun but the best gun is the p30sk

As a person who carries nothing but Glocks, I believe that would be a damn fine CC handgun. Highly reliable. Well made. You should shoot the shit out of it and carry with confidence.
I hate the strategy corporate HK took years ago. I also hate their mags are so expensive. I'd carry one in a heartbeat. |

They are really great. I traded mine for a VP9SK, but I still love the P2000z

I looked hard at at P2000 v3 before I bought a Beretta PX-4 Compact.
I still want a p2000 v3, I just haven't found one at the right price yet. |

The best CC gun is the one you shoot matches and classes with regularly.

Was considering one and a p99 at the same time...I bought the P99. For the most part I just don't get HK's and HK lovers, I've never found them to be better.

I don’t have a p2000sk but I do have a USPc,vp9sk and a p30sk.
I carry the p30sk everyday and it is my idea of a perfect CC edc. I’ll pick up a p2000sk at some point since I don’t have one |

It's my carry gun.
I settled on it after carrying Glocks for some time. Previously I'd carried a Sig P239. I have carried J Frames, and a USPC .45. Here's why: I'd rather carry a DA/SA gun. I can shoot them as well as I can anything, having competed with revolvers for decades. People complain about the HK trigger. It can be used very accurately, with practice. Yes, there are better triggers. But think on this: you will carry a gun for thousands of hours. The HK trigger is made for a carry gun. If you can shoot it accurately, that makes it a better (safer) option. I carried an HK USPC 45 for a long time, and shot it in competition and training courses. If you are willing to put in the time to learn them, they are: reliable. accurate. safe. |

I carry a .40sw P2000 on duty. I shoot many other guns better than I shoot this one - and I'm an avid shooter. I blame the caliber.
That being said - I've never carried a more reliable weapon in my career of 15+ years - Glock 22, Glock 23, Springfield XD, Sig 229 and then this. They were all good guns, but this damn thing has seen thousands of rounds and rarely ever has an issue - the only thing it's doing now is failing to lock back when empty - I blame this partly on my grip, the crap ammo that I'm issued and worn out parts. It looks like Hell with all the use - but I trust it everyday. The P2000sk is meh though - you lose about a half an inch in size on each end. I got one for off duty stuff - but just end up carrying the P2000 most of the time - or my Glock 43 if I'm worried about needing a deep conceal. |

Just because you don't know how to handle it doesn't mean it's bad. There's nothing wrong with a Corona, and there's no shame in saying that's all you drink. But claiming that a single malt scotch is bad because of that is just foolish. |

P2000 was my first carry gun. I loved that gun. Had to dispatch a family dog with it, and I hated thinking about that dog whenever I'd look at the gun, so I got rid of it. Sad deal. Dog had to go but I miss this shit out of that gun.

I do not own a p2000 but held one and prior to the vp9 carried the uspc. I think the vp9 fits my hand better.
Change my mind if I should add a p2000 and possibly carry that over a vp9 |

I've never understood this. If I carry a pocket pistol, or a full size pistol, I'm still sweating and hot as shit. When it's 102 my concealed carry weapon doesn't help regulate how hot I am. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

My CCW litmus test is: can I COMFORTABLY carry the holstered gun in casual kahki shorts and a normal sized polo or golf shirt. If it's not comfortable or if I'm obviously showing, then I don't consider it a viable CCW. |
