I love Halloween. I make costumes for the kids, and about half the time I will dress up to and find a party to go to. This year I'm going to be Mad Max with my Cattle Dog.

Halloween is a big deal in my neighborhood, many of the parents dress up and follow their kids around. I'm told my wife and daughter are dressing up as witches and that I'm going to be a black cat so am cool with that. As long as I get a red solo cup to sip on, of course.

Usually carve a pumpkin and put it out front just because its Halloween and have some candy on hand if any kids show up. Lately the number of kids has gone from zero to a few groups of them the past couple of years.

I stay home and give out candy, This will be my daughter's first halloween, so I may take her to a house or two just so she kinda gets the experience, but she really wouldn't remember.
But before I had a child, I would go to one of the local clubs and watch the girls dress even more slutty than usual. I wanna say one girl came with just bandaids on her nipples and a g-string one year |

I haven't been off the boat in nearly 10 years for halloween or New Years. Even if I were off for halloween I wouldn't give out candy because one I'm to much of a tightwad to buy candy to give away and two I'm a curmudgeon and three hardly any kids trick or treat in my neighborhood any more and the ones that do are "bussed in" from the hood and are normally 15+ years old.

booze in a fruit bowl works pretty well too, friend carved a half watermelon into melon balls, grapes, strawberries, orange slices, pineapple , honeydew and cantaloupe. she used 4 bottles of booze and it was pretty good, everything sat in the carved watermelon. We played cards and had to eat fruit when losing, or when hungry.

At our old apartment that was in the ghetto, they'd take all the kids to the nicer parts to trick or treat. |
