If your game plan is to escalate stupid shit that strangers - and in this case, strangers who are obviously insane - may say to you because you feel you have something to prove, my advice is not to carry a gun. Because carrying a gun requires the utmost in self restraint and not thinking with your ego. I am reminded of the story of the young kid and the wise old cop. The kid had just turned 21 and gotten a concealed carry license, and went down to his police station to pick up his new license. "This is GREAT!" he said. "Now, I don't have to put up with as much shit from people!" The old cop shook his head, and replied to the young man in a gravely serious tone: "That's right son. Sorry that happened, but a few things. One, unless it's a fitted mask sealed to your face, it's not doing you or anyone else a lick of good. But the real problem is that you can't catch a virus unless it is physically injected into you, it's not a living thing and certainly isn't contagious so it's not going to jump from one person to another.

Sometimes I go to the store without a holster so I just hold my gun condition 3 in a grocery bag. At least then, any time I lose racking the slide is made up by not having to draw.
For example, in op situation I would be bladed 45° with left hand on the slide after the first "bitch". Racking slide, moving behind isle as he reached in pants. I'm no tier 1 but just wanted to weigh in since we can't always carry in the traditional manner. |
