I don't think it's Trump but the natural progression of mental illness of the left.

It never ceases to amaze me how completely unhinged Trump makes people.  I'm not surprised by some people i see going off the rails as those folks had some mental health issues to begin with, but there are a few that surprise me.  People that seem otherwise well balanced becoming unglued at the mere mention of Trump.

Maybe Lincoln had this affect on people?

Even when Obama was in, lots of us weren't happy about him being there, but I think very few of us became unglued like the leftists are.

Trump does not make them unhinged. They are already unhinged.

There is a difference however. As a military doc in DC , I volunteered to run an aid station at several inaugurations. Republicans did not riot, assault people, rush the barriers, set fire to cars, smash windows, etc. during Obama's inauguration parade but democrats did all of that and more during both Bush and Trump's. There is indeed a difference in behavior and this difference is undeniable.

Bush Jr was constantly called dumb, low IQ, etc by the media. When he won a second term nobody in mass media had anything good to say about him.

See, I don't think it's Trump at all.  It is that the left went so far left and was remolded by FBHO, that THEY are the ones off kilter,

The radical Left hated Nixon with a passion. Reagan too. I recently worked with a Director that made it his special mission to rant about Reagan and republicans every other day. "dirty commies"

LOL. Except Trump has such shit thrown at him, not by internet assholes, but by congressmen, senators, media, celebrities, college professors, etc.  No comparison.

Going back to Richard Nixon, the ancestors of today's leftwing loons went on about him all of the time.

I'm sure many of them had accidents in their clothes when he resigned.

And then Ford took his place, after replacing Agnew which meant he wasn't elected. Oh, the huge manatee!

Lots of crying hippies to be seen, leaving tears tracking through the dirt on their faces. I'm sure the Clintons were two of those scumbags back then. They fit the profile.

Hillary Clinton was still known as Hillary Rodham when, fresh out of Yale Law School, she was hired by the House Judiciary Committee to work on the impeachment case against Nixon during the Watergate scandal. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2019/10/26/impeachment-hillary-clinton-memo-nixon-trump/4082889002/

Every day that Trump succeeds forces them to admit how wrong their cancerous fantasies were, or double down and spew more vitriol. Basically Trump's success is distilling the left down to a sludge of pure hate. If you need to put numbers to it, I suppose you could say that his ability to trigger the left started out under 18000, and is above 24000 now.

T R, Teddy Roosevelt was pretty much as exciting as Trump, but T R was the real deal as far as military experience.

Don't forget FDR and the "Roosevelt haters" screaming about "That Man in the White House".
Didn't FDR have fireside chats to bypass the press and communicate with voters directly?
Now Trump uses Twitter for the same reason.
Both Lincoln and FDR tried to fundamentally change the direction of the country.
It's not surprising a segment of the population won't accept it.
What is surprising is that Big Media has removed any doubts about their bias.

in the past, the low information voter had less propaganda

back when Reagan was president the mainstream media pretended to be fair and unbiased

now they don’t even try to hide it

and we have all the facebook, twitter BS too

look at the furguson riots

zillions of people thought that shithead was shot in the back with his “ hands up “

——-leftist radical emotional propaganda ———-

This.   The vast majority of haters were told and convinced to hate trump by the agitators in the communist media.  If they didn’t make him into a pariah he would have a normal amount of opposition.  They mad......they thought they were on the final socialist utopian roll after Obummer.  They were wrong because they’re delusional.

Another one was Andrew Jackson, but again we didn't have a totally one party pure activist MSM and academia and the people were smarter then over all. Read 7th grade level politcal science and even mathematics pre 20th century for reference compared to now.

Right now for example 1/2 the country is expecting HRC to be sworn in Monday as POTUS. Congress doesn't know how impeachment works and the MSM activists who pose as "journalists" think Russia stole the election.

Again there is no surviving idiotacracy without reforming both the MSM and academia. Which also dovetails with why the left wants children and criminals and illegals to vote.

Low mental horsepower people are easier to control.

Doing stuff like the Nazis did (getting an educated, thinking society to be good with the idea of genocide) is a lot harder.

Leftists are lazy and look for the path of least resistance.

Lincoln, sure, at least in South Carolina.  Andrew Jackson pissed off all of the original 13 and many in his home state of Tennessee. I'm very surprised Jackson wasn't impeached for a variety of things, but as the Framers said, impeachment wasn't for maladministration.

The Propaganda can have a strong influence on the weak minded.

It's not Trump doing the triggering, it's a self induced psychosis.
