Yep. Not my favorite meal by any means but it does okay as filler while I’m working on being less fat.

Some of these answers might explain why so many get winded walking from one room to another.

Almost every single day, sometimes multiple times per day.
Today's was romaine, farro, beans, roasted Brussels sprouts, and salmon with EVOO/balsamic. Had an apple, too. |

On average, I consume a salad several times per week. A typical dinner for the wife and I is a grilled protein (fish, pork, chicken, etc) and a salad. Healthy and reasonably quick to make. Plus all of the roughage fills you up without a ton of calories.

Quoted: Many times. I love salad. I sometimes have one for a meal. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/6163/chef-salad-03-landscape-jg-1631045032_jp-2304939.JPG View Quote I could go for that with a bit of adjustment. Attached File |

I like a salad once in a while, especially when it's hot out and I don't want to cook. Usually have some leftover protein to go in it.
It isn't easy to get really good salad greens these days though, the really good varieties are tough to grow so they aren't bitter and tough to keep fresh. We go through an insane amount of Kale in my house though, either as chips or cooked into soups or a lasagna or whatever. My little kitchen garden yields are through the roof now that it's three years old, magic number for organic from scratch. Kale grows year round here, I have a couple plants that are two years old now, they're kale trees. |

I could be a vegetarian if meatz weren't so unctuous and flavorfull.

I usually have a garden salad and Italian dressing with dinner almost every single night, unless I'm eating pizza or burgers.

The Sopranos - Bobby should consider salad |

Salad is for fags. I eat meat like God intended.
Seriously though, I usually have salad for lunch 2-3 times a weak. |

The way most Americans eat salad is hardly low cal.
A half cup of some gloppy creamy dressing and a half pound of cheese over a little iceberg lettuce. |
|
I enjoy a good salad. It's usually before the steak, of course.

I like a lightly dressed caesar as an app or side with a steak meal... or a plain old poor people iceberg salad as a side with pizza or other red sauce dishes like pastas.
I don't like them as meals, and a lot of them I see on menus here are worse for you than a regular meal with a vegetable as the side. |

I eat a salad every day.
That and drinking mostly water are the only reasons I'm still alive. |
|
I’m mostly a meat eater, but sometimes a rowdy salad is bad ass.

I eat a salad for lunch on weekdays. Pile of romaine, 3tbs full fat dressing, 1pc thick cut bacon, one ounce cheese, one serving pepperoni slices, two hard boiled eggs, and some sliced almonds.

Every dinner at home includes a killer salad. Every salad contains boutique baby romaine, broccoli, sliced carrots, tomato, black or green olives, avocado and fresh shredded cheese. I grill the dead animal carcass and my DW makes the salad and cleans up.

My salads are kind of like Dagwood's sandwiches -- whatever's available goes into them.
|
|
I have eaten them, but always grudgingly so.
I only eat them when somewhere that it would potentially seem odd to refuse (work dinner with vendor, etc). Or when trying to set a good example for my kids. Can't stand the taste or texture. I can force myself to eat it when smothered in dressing and with as many croutons added as I can get away with. Fuck salads |

I switched to Atkins which allows me to eat meat only. Then my body became a soft serve froyo machine and started adding fiber.

Giant taco salad? Of course.

Occasionally it's OK to eat what food eats. One should not make a habit of it however.
I occasionally crave the sound of lettuce screaming when I cut it |

Salads make the perfect compliment to what ever meat you are grilling up for dinner. Romaine lettuce with onions, grape tomato, olives, feta cheese, banana peppers, and Italian dressing is my go to. Seems like a lot of you are whitebread types that just chug mayo by the jar

Not only does the poll suck, I find it ludicrous that any grown person has never eaten a salad..... aside from the retards on those shows who gag at anything other than french fries.....

The bad thing about eating healthy salads every day at work, other than the losing about 60 pounds, was saving about $50 a month over eating fast food.
