Everyone handles getting old differently. Rich people are an odd situation. They have the means to slow down the appearance of aging but none of us have a way to stop our ultimate death and removal from existence. It can be scary for people used to being able to control everything.

I think it's the uncanny valley theory. Artificial humanoid 'things' attempting to pass as human disturb us on a deep level. If it's artificial in the extreme we don't mind it because we know it's unreal, but when it tries to pass as human we react negatively; ex.
