And for you, and frankly for me, you're correct. For AIWB, a G26 is even better (for me). Hell, a 43 even easier beyond that (for me). However, I have a few friends that can AIWB a 17 or 34 just fine, and have expressed interest in this pistol since the grip length doesn't impact them as much as slide length. Go figure, different people prefer different shapes and sizes when it comes to carry! What I do find refreshing is the honesty people are showing in these topics. I'm not sure how that can be seen as shilling, when people who have admitted they thought it wouldn't work for them are handling it, and evaluating for themselves. Guns fit different people differently. You've made it clear you don't like it. Again....and again.... ....and again.... View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Was it loaded or unloaded? I've never felt like a G17 was "off balance"

Is is possible that I can just buy the mags please? I am happy with my 19 but I like those mags.

Do it. Perfect for AIWB. The 19 slide length is my limit for the barrel not digging into my crotch. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/341181/IMG_3041-437010.JPG View Quote |

So the 19x is a full size grip with a 4" barrel, hmm. You know come to think of it I used to own a handgun like that called the XD9.
Does this mean that HS Produkt/Springfield are more perfection than Glock perfection? |

What do you not understand? You said this thread was schilling for Glock. I pointed out that the OP joined in 2009.

Don't need one, sort of want one, don't want to pay a premium for one.
I'll probably wait a bit on this purchase............ |

Wonder if you could use that barrel in a 19x The 17 and 34 gen 5 barrels are not compatible with previous gens, however. Maybe that's the confusion? |

I wasn't planning to get one, but after this thread I just might. The only think I really don't like is the lanyard ring, but I don't hate it enough to not buy one. Just gotta wait for my LGS to get them in on blue label though, so it may be a while.

I would rather see a 17 slide on a 19 frame. When I'm carrying IWB, barrel length isn't what prints, it's the butt. I usually carry my FrankenGlock 23 with a 22 slide that i bastardized. And yes, I realize that carrying a modified weapon may cause problems in court if I have to use it.

19 round mags, ambi slide stop, no finger grooves, pic rail slot, night sights, undercut trigger groove, marksman barrel, improved trigger.....what’s not to like? And the color is actually treated at the factory and not an afterthought so it will hold up as well.

Almost seems like glock fanboys are shi.... Ah.... are pushing a product because it is a glock rather then a good idea. |

Im a 19 fanboy (have 5 of them, a bunch but not as many as some people have here ).
I really want aa 19X, but more for a collector standpoint, because I think it looks cool and would be a fun range toy. I can't see myself actually using it as a carry gun, if I want a 19 length slide, I'll carry a 19, if I want to use 17 mags, I'll carry my 17. |

You know what the greatest thing about the way this site's quote feature works? It lets you periodically see posts from users you have on "ignore". Which, of course, reminds you just why you have them on "ignore".
