I was really shocked at the entry price on those. I figured at least $90k.

The Defender is a unibody CUV/SUV built in Slovakia. I'm not sure why that would be $90k.

Whats 4A?

4A has a differential between the front and rear output in the transfer case, 4H does not. 4A is like an all wheel drive and can be used on dry non slippery surface like dry pavement, 4H locks the front and rear output together, using it on non slippery surface put's a lot of strain on the drive train and steering

We won't know pricing for a while.

The model and most of the big features will be revealed next week. They will probably tell us things like HP/TQ. They might tell us things like towing numbers. They won't tell us things like fuel economy.

It'll probably take a month or three for us to get detailed specifications and full access to the build and price page. When they launch, there will be no incentives, they will start with top trims first, and dealers will be tacking on ADMs to the early units they get.

It's pretty much like any other model, but with more attention.

No.

Aluminum corrodes due to galvanic corrosion caused by electric currents that occur between dissimilar metals. Panels are insulated for for that.

The only aluminum parts I've seen heavily corroded on cars are wheels (and most aren't even close to the same metallurgy as aluminum body panels) and strut mounts on the older Dodge Stratus models. IIRC all the aftermarket replacements used steel.

I'm glad. There are plenty of full-size trucks and SUVs. A comfortable and capable SUV would be a great DD. My friend rebuilds 66-77 Broncos with modern FI 5.0s and I'm always amazed at how great they are to drive around town, park, and off-road in when compared to my 1/2 ton.

It's almost like AWD. Front hubs are locked, but multi-clutch plates arn't engaged until the truck senses slippage. Slight decrease in mileage, and a little bit of a torque steer when hammering down if you get the Torsen front diff.

I've had great luck with it but rarely drive in the snow/ice. Some guys never switch out of 4a.

One could only hope. I hope the 2.7eb is an option, haven't owned one but drove one and it seemed more than capable. I love the 3.5 but wouldn't turn down the 2.7. I can't see 4.7s in this truck. They only put 4.10s in the Raptor. I'd bet 3.73 max or maybe 3.55. If they will do the new 10spd Auto in the Bronco, it somewhat negates the need for crazy gear ratios though.

Imagine a 2.7eb with 4.10s, front and rear e-locker, and 10spd as a Raptor model. It would be a beast, but doubt they would offer it in 2dr.

I have a suspicion that the 2.7 will be trim limited, and those trims won't be cheap.

On the surface, the 2.3 has more than adequate power for this application, but moving from an aluminum block I4 with direct injection only to a compacted graphite iron V6 with dual injection is a gigantic upgrade regardless of power numbers.

If you’re watching ESPN SportsCenter, the all-new 2021 Bronco Sport will be airing around 8:11 p.m. EST.

National Geographic’s National Parks: Yosemite will spotlight the 2021 Ford Bronco 2-door around 8:13 p.m. EST.

And case you miss it, or have cable anymore, all three Bronco films will be available for streaming on Hulu Tuesday, July 14th. You can also watch the live Bronco debut online via YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook on Monday, July 13th, at 7 p.m.
