No, afraid not.

The screw hole location vs. enclosed housing makes that impossible.

Yeah, that sucks. I just glanced at the two different sizes and assumed one was RMR and one was K.

What's up with the footprint on these?

From what I'm reading, the only guns these actually fit without plates or a trip to a machine shop are the P365s? Is that correct?

No matter what the Chicoms do, people will always make what they think are valid excuses to keep handing money over to them.

There are valid reasons why some of us stay away from Chicom built optics..there are valid reasons why Trijicon, Aimpoint and Eotech land contracts and its more than country of origin.

Knock yourselves out.

I wonder Trijicon has tried to an enclosed housing with removable locations to allow access to captured screws for an RMR footprint.  They could do some kind of threaded insert with a small o-ring, plus add a form of thread sealant to add to waterproofing.

I believe this is correct, yes. A quick look around indicates that the optic-ready slides from Sig for use with the Romeo sights accept the 407K/507K without issue, so they should work perfectly for the new enclosed versions.

I had a similar thought about a design that would accommodate the enclosed housing atop the RMR footprint. It would be feasible, I'm sure.

However, if what I recall reading about the reception that the inventor of the ACSS reticle received from Trijicon is true, it would probably be wasted effort.

You mean reasons like field grade officers retiring and getting cushy positions with contractors?

I currently own 5-6 Trijicon optics, and one Aimpoint. (I've never had an Eotech.) I'm not afraid to buy a better product when I think it's actually a better product.

That said...

Trijicon, Aimpoint, and Eotech are lagging Holosun quite badly. They are several years behind on technology, models, and options.

Eotech just introduced their first pistol optic this year at SHOT. In 2022. It's very average, and based on the price and complete lack of any mention of where it's made, there's a ~80% chance it's Chinese.

Aimpoint's pistol optic is huge, expensive, and it has poor battery life.

That leaves Trijicon. Trijicon's optics are well made and durable. But...

Trijicon pistol optics are not waterproof unless you add an additional cost seal. Holosuns are.

Trijicon does not have an enclosed emitter option. Holoson launched theirs 2+ years ago.

Trijicon batteries cannot be replaced without removing the optic from the pistol. Holosun's can.

Trijicon does not have solar support. Holosun does.

The list of differences goes on.

Factor in that Trijicon optics cost 2-3x as much as a comparable Holosun, and the case for choosing Trijicon gets really thin really quick.

I'll take the not-China purchasing option wherever it makes sense, but right now, in pistol optics, it doesn't make sense.

I just don't get it I guess.

These Chinese wonder sights offer me nothing over an RMR.  Maybe battery changes.  But my RMR that's been on for years doesn't really make me care.

Not a Holosun hater either.  Thinking about a 507 for a G26 build.  Their "innovations" generally just don't appeal to me.

No failures from EOTech XPS models. No Holosun failures of three models and these have the highest round counts of any of my slide mounted sights.

I will pay more but US compa ies are sitting on their hands. And fuck Aimpoint is from a socialist country too.

How many of the buy American optic guys here are sriving foreign cars?

I would desperately love to pay stupid money for a non-Chinese cutting edge MRDS. I'm just not aware of any out there. Handled the Aimpoint P2 at SHOT, and will probably get to play with a demo unit soon, but can't say that I was impressed. The sides of the housing are THICC, and dramatically kill off one's FOV, in my opinion.

Bingo.

If they have, that comes as news to me.

What I read, in a thread here (so take it FWIW), is that this inventor/developer of the reticle approached Trijicon first, and was told they weren't interested, which is how the reticle was adopted by Primary Arms in their line of Holosun sights.

Most sponsored shooters used the gear they are paid to use. You have heard of sponsorships right? Aaron Cowan of Sage Dynamics uses a lot of holosuns in his videos but if you take his classes you see a lot of trijicon and aimpoint on his personal guns.

Newsflash: China pays American firearms instructors to use their optics. Then you will think they aren't shit and buy them with American dollars.

I don't follow his videos, but the ones I've seen all seem to be rather impartial.
