As soon as I got the email notification I killed the card, but I also stole the account they created with DJI and canceled the order there, then changed the password so they couldn't get it back. I think it was overstock or wayfair or something. I cancelled the card immediately, got fraud involved, then called the shipper and told them so they could stop the order. They said the order was already processed, nothing they could do, thanked me for reporting the fraud and said I could keep the stuff since they had no mechanism for returning a cancelled order that already left. I felt shitty for benefitting on someone else's attempted thievery, but the company was cool with it. Made damn sure I was home when that order was out for delivery, no one else showed up. |

Not the kind of car I was expecting to show up. They rolled up very slowly and stopped maybe ten feet from me. An older woman jumped out of the backseat and casually walked up to the front door. I made sure our cars were parked in the garage so it looked like no one was home. They showed up only a few minutes after the package did.

By the time she got to the front door and grabbed the box I just stood up and started walking towards her. I asked her what she was doing but I don't think she understood my words but she sure as shit understood the tone. I had my M4 slung across my chest and for a second she about shit herself. When this stuff started happening in my AO years ago I was on the stakeout squad, we would dress up as the delivery driver and deliver the stuff then pounce on the thieves, UPS, FedEx, and USPS would cooperate with us.
Pity this does not happen any longer. |

I'm taking the drills back to Home Depot because it's the right thing to do. I didn't cost me anything and it was fun as hell sitting outside laughing at this thread. The license plate was taped to the back window and with the tint pretty much impossible to see. Cops around here wouldn't do shit about it anyway. I didn't want to get any more drastic because of the fear of reprisals. Hopefully that was enough to stop them from coming back.
