I just remembered working as a helper for an old electrician in the late 70s early 80s that went on and on about grounds being BS and not needed. As I understand it they are important but this thread raises questions. This is separate from the safety issue. Remember 0v is off 5v is on. It doesnt take much to make things all squirrelly. As for bonding.... it can be a source of issues as well. Especially if the bonding wire is routed next to a transformer, to antenna, or electric motor. |
