Got an account warning for "trolling" for starting a thread related to the subject. Didn't even cuss, or post nude photos, or gore (last two never happen). Simply tried to make a valid point, in a humorous way...... no animosity at all. Site staff was not entertained.
If I get get banned for posting this, at least site sponsors will know why they don't get my eyes anymore. Maybe I'll forget they exist and quit shopping there. Would be a shame as there are a lot of vendors here that are great, and that I support. |

I'm not going to get all pissed off about the picture being removed. The police released the statement from the family on the police website.
The family of PC Stuart Outten, the officer injured in Leyton, have released a media statement. The family said: "We have been overwhelmed by the amount of support we have received from the public, Stuart’s colleagues and the wider policing family. "We are incredibly proud of the bravery Stuart showed during the incident. His injuries could have been fatal and we are thankful that he is stable and recovering in hospital with his loved ones around him. "Stuart joined the Met straight from school and loves being a police officer and protecting the public. Although there are risks associated with his job, we would never have expected something like this to happen. "We are so grateful to the London Ambulance Service paramedics and hospital staff for their care and compassion. "We have been made aware of images circulating that show Stuart’s injuries and him recovering in hospital. "We would kindly ask the media and the public not to publish these images at what is already an extremely distressing time for us as a family. Many year ago after 9/11, EdSr who is a Vietnam veteran made a rule, no posting of wounded, fallen or injured military. As an Army veteran, I concur with that. 1) these people have families as do I. I wouldn’t want my wife and daughter seeing my bloodied body in the news or online. I wouldn’t want your family to see yours. I have lost friends that I served with, family members and friends that were LEO. I KNOW the pain, heartbreak and mourning they go through. They don’t need a constant reminder of the incident just so you can satisfy your need for information. The information is there and available should you want to take the time to look for it. But as for me, the Avila’s and the staff and mods of this site, we will respect the wishes and request of this fallen officers command, friends, comrades and family. If you see a vast conspiracy in that and feel it violates your rights and freedom of speech, well, perhaps that say more about you and your integrity than it does about ours. |
