It's self-identified, right? You can be Hispanic of any race.
I tan up pretty good. I'll use the Hispanic version of my name. Bet I get a ton of offers. Anyone done this? |

I did it years ago when applying to universities. My mother was Venezuelan. My name couldn't be any more Irish/Anglo, however so there was no noticeable effect.
Also the diversity posturing wasn't a thing like it is now. |

You need to practice.
Maybe watch Born in East L.A. a few times. |

didn't a country recently announce that they would in fact recognize racial identity regardless of biological race ... i.e. I was born white but now identify as black, etc.

You know, if you're actually fluent in spanish it really, really helps in your job application. And white(as in actual white) hispanics do exist.

My children are “white” but born and raised in a Latino Hispanic majority culture. Does that make them Hispanic?

So we will stand up to "the jab" at the risk of our livelihoods but pretend to be Mexicans to get jobs. Sounds legit.

I can tell you from personal experience that it will work out in your favor.

With the current diversity push it might be helpful especially if you're in a technology industry. There is a strong desire for Hispanics in engineering and software right now. Boxes to check you know...
Now here's the down side the more militant Hispanics in the organization are likely to hunt you down and call you out on it. I say this as a guy with a hispanic surname and a whitebread 1st name. You will questioned about do you speak spanish? Where are you from? I even had one young lady ask if my wife is white? Funny thing is my wife is the most pale Venzuelan on the planet who actually speaks spanish unlike myself. |

I'm white as all get out.
My ancestry is all northern European with a small bit of Italian and Spanish mixed in. Like less than 8%, but I hablo Espaol, so why not? |

Go one step further and if they ask for proof of vaccination, just tell them you are in their country illegally and are exempt from any mandates per their President Joe Biden himself.

View Quote I already got the "jab" (gay fucking name for it) because I passed the ninth grade, and took biology. Hispanic and Mexican are not the same thing. I learned that in school too. Maybe the gun crowd should pay more attention to that there newfangled school thingy. |

I was tempted to do that on my last 4473. I was born in Mexico.

I have only a single pronoun. It's pronounced EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have to hold the note for at least a minute and a half and hit at least 82 decibles or you are mispronouning me and I will sue. |

You should put velociraptor as your “identity as” preferred gender too, it’s a great conversation starter!

My last name is sort of a known black name. Mostly from certain football celebs and other tv retards. Those people just so happened to get my name from my ancestors. . But, none the less, last time I had to do the job hunt tango I was told not once. But twice that they thought I was an African American. And you could hear the disappointment in their voice while explaining to me that they were looking for a minority candidate. And asked the clearly white voice on the phone if I was indeed not a minority. Then said goodbye. I ended both of those conversations with me not wanting to work for a racist company. And thanked them for not wasting my time.
This racist discrimination should be illegal. But our government incentivizes it. |

Not sure why you would have to lie right now, Helen Keller could get a pilot job in this economy. If one cant get a job today they may need to ask themselves why...

I put AK Native but way way down in my ancestry is Spanish.
So can I put Spanish down? |
|
I would like to claim Arab for the same reason. My mom did the 23 and me thing and I'm about as Arab as Sen. Warren's children are Native.
Unfortunately, according to the US government, Arab is Caucasian. |

I've been doing this for a while, and I am never consistent with my race or nationality
Gum up the system, my children are all over the place too, on paper I am a proud Indian father of an Asian and African American |

They might expect you to know Spanish if you put Hispanic on the application.

Transracial.
