I have been on this site for a long time and have learned a great deal and enjoyed it. Of the forums I have seen, I have never experienced an improvement when the original owners sell. I have also noticed that as the sponsors grew so did the moderation and the running off of some of the long time members. The corporate influence takes the fun away due to risk aversion just like in the real world. I hope that is not the case here and any “I hate Brownells” threads will it be nuked.

Congratulations on the sale and thanks for all that you guys have done to bring this site to where it is today. I've thoroughly enjoyed hanging around here over the last decade or so. I have met some people who I now consider friends through this site so if nothing else it has been worth it just for that.
I'm willing to keep an open mind going forward. Hopefully it will be great but if it isn't then it won't be the end of the world. We'll all just have to move on. That's just the way of things... |

Not sure how you could fix that without searching the posts as well and adding lots of complexity. I wouldn't mind a change that matches words a little better instead of having to use an asterisk. Trump, Trumps, Trump's for example should all show up in search results automatically even if I only search Trump. IMHO. But it definitely isn't as big a deal as people make it out to be. |
