Walther PDP sounds like an obvious choice.

I don't understand the subcompact thing.

PPQ M2 Navy 9mm, because he wouldn’t carry a .45, and it would be a factory threaded barrel.

A 45:

This.
They're really not that much bigger than a PPK

He's always been a Walther dude, so I suppose a PPQ M2 would be the natural progression of things.

For Bond being British, I always wondered why he didn’t carry a Hi-Power.  Was the standard service pistol of the British at the time.

Tomorrow Never Dies - Bond & Lin | Fight Scene (HD)

Jump to 6:30 for the relevant line "new Walther I asked Q to get me one of these" so logically he would be carrying either a PDP or Q4SF and I am personally biased

That being said Bond classically went with light and small so something like a P365X would make sense if you didn't stick with Walther's

Only weighs 1.5 pounds loaded with 12+1 of 124gr+P

If going for concealment and capacity I'd say a G43X with RMR and Shield Arms S15 magazine.

For more tactical things, he would probably go G17 with RMR, suppressed

Tomorrow Never Dies is when he first gets one

My vote is PDP Compact or a Glock 43x. PDP for tradition and 43x for practicality
