I heard this today. Guy knows I'm a shooter. He owns guns and shoots. Says he doesn't carry a gun cause his wife doesn't want him to so he never got a permit.

I'm not married so I can't comment. If a GF told me that I'd laugh and tell her that's cute.

My ex-wife told me she hated that I had guns a couple years in to our marriage. I told her to fuck off because she had even shot them while we were dating. It was only one of the long list of reasons for the divorce.

Wife 2.0 was the first person in our county to get a non-restricted non-professional permit to carry.

Well in 29 States you don't need a CCW to carry anyway, so even if he allows his wife to buffalo him around like that it won't prevent him from legally carrying if he's in a red state.

My wife occasionally complains about my prepper behavior, but if something happens, power outage, car won’t start and I don’t have some item needed to resolve said problem instantly, her comment is “ well, why don’t we have a XYZ ?

So women will undermine you being a man and trying to be prepared to protect your family, even calling you paranoid, but then turn around and blame you for not being prepared or paranoid enough to prevent / resolve some issue that pops up. I’d rather deal with an occasional prepper comment, than suffer a “ why weren’t you prepared to protect the family “ comment. Most women are oblivious in regards to being prepared or avoiding trouble in life.

Luckily Iv got a great wife who very rarely complains, and likes my paranoid taking care of family prepping, but she’s still a female at heart and can’t help it occasionally to criticize my attempts to be prepared, but she 100% enjoys the end results when issues occur.
