The "propaganda" from that area (near Chernobyl) blames every health problem imaginable on radiation, in attempts to get foreign aid. View Quote Almost every person who was ordered out on the roof died for clean up duty died. Most of the vehicle washing crews died, and any one who handled the piles of clothing that was buried died. Chernobyl was a very serious disaster, one the Soviets wanted to make go away quietly. |

What's the significance of that? We know F16s were scrambled, and at least one plane was shot down. Right? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Just saw a Twitter post saying that Pak will release the pilot as a goodwill gesture.

IIRC the sale of those were only approved under the agreement they wouldnt be used against India. The entire fiasco around the F16 sale was supposedly to provide a more accurate weapon/platform to attack terrorist forces in Pakistan. How goatfucking dirtbags in tribal regions are going to engaged with AIM-120s is a bit vague. View Quote Quoted:

So that's going to ruffle feathers at the US Dept of State, but really doesn't affect the hostilities between the two. Right? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Lol. Did the Indians expect the Pakis to engage the Taliban Air Force with those? We made a deal with a terrorist nation involved in 9/11 and hiding OBL on purpose. When the military ceases to exist for the purpose of national defense or winning wars these things happen.

Technically it is FA8675-05-C-0070/P00028. Not all of the missiles procured under FA8675-05-C-0070 went to Pakistan. The 500 in FA8675-05-C-0070/P00028 did go to Pakistan. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Why did India make a SSBN with missiles that only reach 2-3 of Pakistan's largest cities? 750km range is crap against China too. China would have to be asleep at the switch to not sink it before it gets in range of Beijing.

So put 15 warheads into Karachi and Hyderabad and you take out 55% of Pakistan's GDP, 95% of foreign trade, and only kill a few million. Quite vulnerable... if you took out NYC/Newark and LA you'd only take 15% of our GDP. |

And yet the ash from one volcano in Greenland shut down air traffic in almost all of Europe. Imagine the dust and ash cloud from a limited strike by both sides. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:
Quoted: You do realize more than 500 have been detonated in open air right? More than 1000 counting underground tests? And more than a few of those were ten times the yield of those in the paki and idian arsenals. Imagine the dust and ash cloud from a limited strike by both sides. Volcanic ash has unique properties that screw up aircraft, none of which have anything to do with a nuclear exchange. Quoted: Most of those test were conducted underground to limit fallout, plus many were done in "clean" areas to limit the same. Fires would kick more stuff up, but there is only so much contaminant to go around. Even the nations immediately downwind don't have much to worry about; some agricultural restrictions at worst. |
