No, the indian government has prevented the historical interaction that virtually every other tribe on the planet has had. If it weren’t for that, in fairness, they would all likely be dead. The common cold could be a death sentence for them. They'd have to be kept in some isolated enclosure to protect them from anyone who could possibly be sick. In which case they'd be in the same situation as you describe above, but instead of living on their familiar island home they'd be in some kind of camp being loved to death by their humane betters. |

But when did the switch flip from interacting with tribes to being able to keep them isolated for their own good. Obviously not in North America. Not in South America.
