Over on the 6th gen Bronco forum, there are countless posts of the vehicle being a total POS.
Would you buy a first year vehicle from any manufacturer, especially a US car company? |
Quite a few bronco owners at my place of work. Not one complaint. All of them are happy with their purchase.
I tried to buy a 2021 bronco and they wouldn’t let me. I’m having trouble buying a 2022 model. I might get a 2023.

I saw one on the highway yesterday. Beside it was a new Nissan Pathfinder. The Bronco made the Pathfinder look like a Range Rover by comparison. The Bronco just looked like a cheaply made tin can.

I've been renting a '21 model from Avis for the past few days. It's the bare bones model but I like it. I drive 60-100 miles/day. Been getting 28-29mpg.
It's a small jeep-size vehicle that looks cool. Wouldn't mind it for a commuter car. Miss my F150 though. |
I understand there might be a few hit or miss issues with the 2.7 motor......honestly it seems to be doing better than I would have thought for first year bugs, supply chain issues and lots of COVID temp workers.

You would have missed the bad batch of valves with the cap breaking off top of the valve and dropping it into the cylinder. But dam that engine has a lot of torque. |

No issues and no complaints. |

The top and windows look like it was chopped. They missed the mark.
Yeah, you might want to let them work out the bugs over the next couple of years.
Don't know why they made it a lesbian jeep alternative. Why not more like a two door expedition? Like the originals....
First model year is never a great idea. First model year made during C19? I think you'd need your head examined if you had to depend on it for anything at all.

How are the cam phasers and timing chains on those?
I would never buy another Ecoboost anything after my last experience. Watching the dealership clowns pretend that it wasn’t actually happening was also amusing. |

View Quote That doesn't even scratch the surface... 2.3 turbo issues, roof leaks, roof cracks, soft top seams splitting, hood misalignments, cowlings not allowing hood to open, transmission issues, rust upon delivery, various fluids not filled to required levels, air and water leaks around windows... This thing is a complete POS. NHTSA is investigating. |

It was retarded to have the bronco and the bronco sport at the same time.
Both don't do much for me in the looks and style dept. I think my issue with the big Bronco is I remember the Bronco as the F150 SUV not the first gen. Would of been cooler, imo, to have it based on the current F150 and not this stale retro BS. The Superduty with the tremor package and 7.3 gas seems like a homerun. Maverick, I don't like the rebadged name, looks like grand slam if they could make them. |

ALL CAR FORUMS are full of complaints/problems/issues about XXXXXX vehicle.

I bought the new S550 2015 Mustang GT sight unseen, ordered before I even saw one in person.
In my opinion, Ford has had worse problems in the 3rd and 4th years and later production. Redesigned the way the engine block was made, cheaper parts in the transmission, etc. I blame bean counters. |

Quoted: Over on the 6th gen Bronco forum, there are countless posts of the vehicle being a total POS. View Quote no, no there isn't... I've been posting on the same board for 2 years and following Bronco since before it's release and outside of the bad batch of 2.7s and early MIC top problems the issues are pretty isolated cases. My loaded Badlands went into production a couple days ago and should be shipping out in about a week. |
Do the new Bronco owners go off-roading with them? Curious what's the problem with the new Bronco, other than it being a new model.
In this thread 87% of the people bitching about the new Bronco don't know the difference between the bronco sport and the bronco.
Sure I would. My 2020 Sonanta has been fantastic for a 1st year new generation model.
Millions of 1st year cars never have a problem one. You just never hear about those. My Camaro was several years into its generation and I traded that piece of shit back in a few months later with only 7k miles on it |

The new 2022 Pathfinder is once again on a truck frame. I'll wait until reviews and feedback is in, but I may consider a 2023. |

Buying a new model vehicle that debuted during a worldwide clusterfuck of various components and raw materials is probably not a great idea.
The Bronco hard top recall is just one example of something that probably wouldn't have happened pre-Covid. |

Yep. Up to 25,000 Broncos with defective valves leading to engine failure. Tiny issue really. NHTSA Investigating Ford Bronco over Complaints of 'Catastrophic Engine Failure' The safety agency is looking into complaints from 32 owners of the 2021 model SUV with the 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine, saying the engine stopped suddenly and couldn't be restarted. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a40187943/nhtsa-investigating-ford-bronco-engine-failure/ |

Frankly, I wouldn't buy ANY auto manufacturers first year models, US, Asian, European, doesn't make a difference. Modern vehicles are complicated and it's not like manufacturers come out with updated/fresh models yearly like they did decades ago. Now, after they get the bugs worked out the first couple of years, they work at ways to make it cheaper and cut corners to make more profit per unit.
