The most useful thing I've ever had on a truck is a Retrax bed cover. This thing is bad ass and I can't believe I ever had a truck without one
You can still use it like a truck but keep it locked and mostly dry when covered. It will leak around the edges into the bed a bit, but nothing that decent outdoor gear can't handle

Conceivably yes, but the county fucked up the drainage by the road and its not wise for us normies to redo it correctly

My neighbors dad is a bulldozer operator and can grade the acreage to drain toward the county responsibility. He's working on a deal with his boss to borrow the company dozer and do mine and my neighbors yard

Hopefully that will fix it but in the mean time I may just get a couple more loads of caliche and build up my one main driveway to match the county road, which stays dry

Some food just doesn't come out right.  Dino nuggies.  Just not the right texture.  I mean, you don't have to wait for the oil to heat up, but it's just not the same as real deep frying.  Plus, if you fry at the right temperature, the food doesn't absorb a lot of the oil, anyway.  Cooking time in oil is a lot less, but it's offset with the oil warmup time.  If you're making battered onion rings, yea, gotta do those in oil.
