10 years ago today there was a real shit storm of naders.
I didn't really know the extent until I went for a drive the next day.
Absolutely crazy.

Huntsville didn't have power for like a week.
I remember going to work like 2 days later.

I had to use their computers to tell people I was alive.

I remember lines for gas. Very long lines and worse than hate chicken.

What if you had to eat hate chicken tho?

They probably gave out free food.

They do here during real bad snow, icy conditions

And the gheys turned to cannibalism.

No, been putting it off because I don't want to start a new job just before we have the kid, so I've been planning on waiting until then, which should be about when I get my license anyway, since it'll take the state a couple months to process paper work before I can sign up for the licensing exam.
Not sure that's the best plan, but I can always work my hvac job until I pick up something, and there are probably literally a hundred RN positions open around here, so I won't have an issue getting a job, it'll just be a matter of whether it's one I really want.

I actually certified the negative air pressure isolation rooms in most of the local hospitals pre-covid.
Makes for an interesting conversation when I explain why the new temporary ones wouldn't pass the normal standard

A Mason jar  named after John Landis Mason, who patented it in 1858  is a moulded glass jar used in home canning to preserve food. The jar's mouth has a screw thread on its outer perimeter to accept a metal ring or "band". The band, when screwed down, presses a separate stamped steel disc-shaped lid against the jar's rim. An integral rubber ring on the underside of the lid creates a hermetic seal. The bands and lids usually come with new jars, but they are also sold separately. While the bands are reusable, the lids are intended for single-use when canning. Glass jars and metal lids are still commonly used in home canning while they have been largely supplanted by other methods for commercial canning (such as tin cans and plastic containers).

I hope that helps!

Because I don't think there's any exhaust in the "ante-rooms" they set up using what's basically plastic sheeting.

The standard is -0.100 in.w.c. from the hallway to the anteroom and then -0.100 in.w.c. from the anteroom to the patient room.

Even if the anteroom were solid it would never achieve that due to the massive gaps at the bottom (even if anyone ever zipped it all the way down).

All that being said; I'm sure they're perfectly functional for acting as an airlock, so I don't think it's actually a safety issue, I just enjoy causing problems.
