When I was counting out the cash to buy the -3 above, a guy offered me a 6 shot .38 Special. It had an aluminum frame and that's all I know. Condition was about 90-95%. No box. |

I'm guessing the shop has them and priced them high simply because of the number of them. I'm hitting up a semi-local gunshow this coming Saturday and now I'm curious if the prices there are going to be in line with what I saw at the LGS. Been mulling it over for a week now and finally pulled the trigger and ordered one of the police trade in model 65-4 off of guns.com This morning. This will be my first k frame to add to the collecton of some J frames l frames and n frames. With the fixed sights I'll have to play around until I find a load that shoots to point of aim but this should make a great woods carrying gun when I don't need a big thumper.

He said it was probably $700 or so then, and he was mighty pissed about the "deal" he was offered by his agency.
