Mernickle has a nice SA holster. If they don't have them in stock Dillon normally does.

And now I need a shark leather holster to match my boots, dammit.  Thanks a lot, Hay_Bale.

I’ve posted it in its own thread, but here it is again:

66-4

It’s a real hoot with the 158 grain hard cast SWCs and 16.0 grains of 296. Which really isn’t all that spicy, big picture.

Picked up a Wrangler for my kiddo. She opted for the gray/birds head combo. Neat little gun for $200!

@Action45

That sucks. I would’ve bought that for $700 all day. The 66-4 pictured cost me about that. Traded a 6” 28-2 and some cash. I’ll get another 28 some day, but it’ll be a 4”.

New front sight is in.  VZ grips are atrocious.  Front strap is way to pointy, fit is horrible, huge gaps everywhere.  Would love to find a set of Ahrends for it.  Ordered some Pach compacts and Altamont Altais to try out.

Nice! Local shop had several trade in 64's, a -3 to -8. I passed because the sights were hard to pick up, couldn't I paint the front sight though? The trigger was quite enjoyable, though my only revolver is a .22 so everything's nice in comparison.

Bought one of the 65-4 trade ins a month or so ago this was nowhere as cheap but should make an amazing carry gun. A touch of paint would definitely help you pick up the front sight but you may be surprised one you start shooting and find you like the plain sight

Beautiful

Ahrends are unobtainable now or over $200. Those pachymer grips are actually really good too.

If I was looking for grips for EDC I'd look at Hogues wood. I really like VZ grips but I found they got me bloody after a few hundred full house loads.

Safariland made a synthetic grip that are really good too. Check eBay for "safariland round butt grip."

And if course jmcustom aiwb for the holster

This fat kid Probably can't manage aiwb but definitely want a nice iwb for her. I've been reading and the pachs do get a lot of good press so maybe I'll just shoot it a bunch and see what I really want out of a grip once I see how these handle.

Lately, I’ve been enjoying monitoring some of the auctions on Proxibid.  Some surprises on both ends of the final price spectrum as well as seeing some very nice and interesting items on the auction block.

Just monitoring so far.

Broke the bodyguard

There's a firing pin safety and it's actuated by a lug when the trigger is depressed

Lug broke off. Gun jammed up. Out of commission for now as the shaft of the safety floats and can prevent it from firing if it turns to the right position

I've sent a email out to smith for a replacement part

How tall and wide is the existing sight?  Dawson makes pinned fiber optic front sights that go as small as .145" wide X .100" tall:

Didn't take a picture but I installed a lock delete plug on the 317 tonight. Got the gun all back together and realized that I'd left the hammer spring and strut sitting on the table...
