Last revolver month I got a 19 carry comp.
Went to the range today to exercise it a and a few others that haven't been out in a while. Attached File I really wanted to like the secret service style grips it came with but they just don't feel right to me. Which is weird because I can shoot other handguns with my pinky curled under all day. So I'm glad I brought the included rubber combat style with me to swap out. This revolver month will be celebrated with a new set of wood combat grips for the 19CC |

Quoted: Mine too Is that a new python? View Quote Yeah, I couldn't help myself. It's a new 4" Python. An early gift to myself. I was going to wait but then it seemed like they were drying up a bit on GunBroker. So I pulled the trigger, pun intended. I tried a 6" at the LGS that had an amazing trigger. This was surprisingly heavier albeit smooth. I put Hogue grips on it when I got it but hated them. I usually like rubber grips but this didn't fit the gun well, didn't fit me well, and left the back strap exposed surprisingly. Recoil with these grips was the same as with my Kimber or KC despite how much heavier the Python is. I'll try the wood ones. They don't feel so bad. I also ordered some Pachmayrs. |

First step of my GP100 rehab. It was my first handgun. The original 6” barrel is worn out. LOTS of super hot loads. Replaced it with a new 4” SS barrel. New tritium fiber optic front sight and Bowen rear. Next step is trigger job, bead blasting, then off to Richter to get their Diamond Like Coating.

If I rescue a beat up revolver with bad exterior finish, is it possible and feasible to have it sandblasted and then nitrided? Is that the best way to clean up an abused specimen? I'm thinking nitride because it does not add any material to the existing surfaces, which are already mated.
