Quoted: The Redhawk is decent, but I don't think the design compares well to a S&W N-frame or Ruger's other revolvers. I think Ruger's best .45 Colt is by far and away the Bisley Convertible: https://gundigest.com/wp-content/uploads/Bisley-2.jpg It's a tough beast, this frame is more conducive for actual shooting than the traditional SAA/Blackhawk frame, and the Bisleys have nicer hammers and triggers. I briefly considered selling mine last year and I'm glad I didn't. Prices are way up, the number of SKUs in current production are way down, and it's just a really cool gun I know I would have missed. I don't think you should disregard the various Italian replicas, either. Some models are nicer than others, but they have nice SAAs and the Schofields are art. I also kind of want a Thunderer: https://gearfireimages.s3.amazonaws.com/imagedb/image914622-faa90b1c91e9ae7ab6be17c2d109719c.jpg View Quote Thanks for the feedback |

Quoted: I bought a brushed aluminum grip adapter, but it doesn't fit right. I think it was made for a round butt frame. It's got a gap along the edge. I think if I file it down at the very bottom where it contacts the frame and grip, it may match the contour a bit better. The square butt frame curves a bit more in the front compared to a round butt. https://i.imgur.com/w5sbaRu.jpg View Quote Bye texting I want one in brass for this Attached File |

I checked the fit on a round butt K frame and it still has the bad gap along the middle.

Well, in light of Joe Biden's recent comments about "high caliber" 9mm, and their ability to rip lungs out, I feel much safer shooting my .44. And since it's a revolver, you can't shoot or reload them fast.

Not sure if you have Tyler or a "Brand X" but in any case it's nothing to worry about. They still function just fine. Trivia: that part of the grip frame that the grip adapter fills in is called the "sinus" of a revolver. There - you learned something new today! |
