The ZMA supplement I like to take to prevent DOMS and help with sleep has 30 mg of zinc as zinc aspartate and mono-l-methionine. Maximum recommended zinc is 40 mg/day, I'm not really worried about the extra 1.5 mg. But the ZMA has 450 mg of magnesium as magnesium aspartate, and the RDA for my age group is 4201 mg. I know magnesium oxide is poorly absorbed, but would there be a health risk in taking a total of 572 mg between the two? 1 Nice. |
