Cool. I remember shooting the .45 version as a buddy had one. I could change the mags out pretty quickly with it but I still preferred the release in the 1911 position.
On the other hand that was before my first P7M8, and I love the paddle release along the trigger guard- I would drop the mag with my trigger finger. That feature led me to enjoy the PPQ, but then they changed that with the M2 version.
In other words I am fickle. I like the paddle release most, the 1911 position next, and the butt magazine release a distant third. I had an HK P9S Target that had the butt release and the thing was accurate, but funky off the charts in all other aspects.
