Not to say it WONT be a SJW bomb, but some of you guys aren’t reading closely enough.
Bond is retired and they gave his code name ‘007’ to a new agent, the girl (term used loosely) I can’t imagine that the production company is stupid enough to uproot over 50 years of tradition but then again it’s 2019 who knows. I’m guessing they give her just enough time on screen to satisfy the diversity element then Bond comes back into the fold and resssumes his 007 moniker. |

Money still talks in Hollywood. After this female 007 movie bombs, they will make up some excuse to back to a male 007. Sure, they will try and make his character more politically correct, but that isn't James Bond. So I think this indicates that they know the franchise is in a horrific tailspin, and this is the first of any number of death throes.

So James Bond retires, they reissue the moniker 007, goes to a black woman, and then Bond has to return from retirement because she's fucking up too badly? I'm not sure if I'd be pissed or laughing at the direction the 007 franchise is going! Isn't it slightly insulting to the black 00 agent as well?
