It's six inches or so longer than a Tacoma and Colorado.

Cannot believe the prices new Wranglers are going for these days. Never thought I'd see the day Wranglers were "luxury SUVs" with prices to match but here we are... $50-60K for a Rubicon and even more for a Gladiator.

It all fairness, those people probably can't fit anything bigger than a sedan in the tiny garages of their cookie cutter houses.

Base Rubicon is 45k. A nicely optioned Gladiator Rubicon will fall just short of 50k. The stupid Launch Edition is $62k...

I like them but two things..

1) breakover angle. It's poor.

2) price

I'd be interseted in a 2dr but I doubt that will happen.

35" with no mods. 37" with a leveling kit. A slightly aired-down 37" tire will fit in the factory spare tire mount. I read somewhere that FCA wanted to go with 35" from the factory but some particular specification requirement forced them to go with 33" tires.

Also looks like the front bumper is no longer steel and it won’t accommodate a winch like mine

MSRP starts at $33,500.  It isn't 1967 anymore.

Get both.  Modern Wranglers are more practical and capable.  CJ's are more fun for bouncing around in.

They had this one at the Easter Jeep Safari last week.  Rep said they are still doing market research about putting it into production.

We'll see if it happens. Two door Wranglers are an ever decreasing portion of Wrangler sales, and the Gladiator will likely never match Wranglers in sales numbers. There may just not be enough potential sales out there to make it worth their time.

This.

I mean, I’d never buy a Jeep or any other fiat/Chrysler vehicle, but a 2 door version would look less stupid.

A Land Cruiser can be had for $85k off the lot.

I like the JK and the new Gladiator.  I would like them A LOT if they had a 6.2 or 6.4 HEMI from the factory.
