We love all the berry flavors, but I'm not as crazy about jelly as jams.
I got the wife on plum jelly too, as she never had it. Grandma made Sand Plum jelly in the old days, and I used to go pick them with her when I was small. As they would grow wild along some of the roads around here it a nice ride in the country with grandma to go picking. Unfortunately the county began a very vigorous weed spraying plan along the rural roads years ago, and killed off all the bushes in this area.

This, a few years ago I made a large enough batch of blackberry preserves to last a couple of years, I ran out over a year ago but procrastinated making a batch and now need to wait until they are in season again to make another batch.

When I saw the title, all I could think of was the ass on the half Korean bartender where I drank beer tonight.

"It's gotta be jelly not jam, 'cause jam don't shake like that"

Muscadine jelly or apricot preserves FTW

What is the difference between jam and jelly?

Homemade muscadine jelly is the best of all jellies.
Huckleberry preserves rule their genre
Strawberrys rule the jam family
Apple Butter beats them all

Elderberries make great wine! The problem is, I can't usually find enough berries for more than a few jars of jelly, much less 5 gals for wine. I've tried the canned elderberry juice, but it just isn't the same for making wine.

I have thought about buying some elderberry plants, but you pretty much have to net them or be quick to harvest, or the birds get them.

Raspberry or strawberry jam is my favorite. My mom makes a cinnamon jelly that is really good.

Husband makes our jams/jellies.  He makes strawberry jam frequently with fresh strawberries we pick from a local farm.

He also makes the usual grape jelly, but he makes others by request.

He's made Big Red jelly, Big Blue, Big Peach, Dr. Pepper and Root Beer jelly.

The Big Peach is to the right of the Big Blue on the right side of the pic.
