I'm not eating it.
Most likely it's almost entirely soy based. Nope, not doing that. I'm guessing that in ten years we'll start seeing bugs being pushed on us a source of protein. Your grandchildren will be eating spiced bug paste and GMO crops in about 40 years while the rich dine on wagyu steak and certified organic vegetables. The book 1984 actually, in hind sight, painted an optimistic view of the future. |

Are people actually ordering this stuff? Or is this like McDonalds promoting fitness and health with their extra large fries and bigmacs?

I'll never understand how people can convince themselves that a mystery slurry of chemicals, soy, and pressed seed oils is healthier than, yannow, meat. |

Something tells me the processing involved to get it to even look halfway like chicken makes it very unhealthy for you.

You can easily make your own plant "beef" burger. Just need to buy a bunch of weird ingredients you don't normally use or have. And just mix it up.

I gave up on Kentucky Fake Chicken when they dropped the grilled chicken.

So, white meat chicken is less healthy than soy based "beyond meat"?
I'll need to see the data before I believe that. |

If you don't want to eat chicken, why would you eat fake chicken?
|
|

lol KFC is adding it to their menu, not phasing out actual chicken.
If people will pay for it then they'll keep it around. Can't blame them for trying to make money. I'd try it. |

It should be noted that there are real plants that eat real meat.
|
|
Eat the bugs and the estrogenic meat substitutes, peons.
Bet the customers who eat this shit still buy animal-based pet foods for their fur babies. |
|
|
I wouldn’t eat their fake chicken if it was fried in pure schmaltz.

KFC's customers don't strike me as "need vegetarian option" types.
Unless they are going to have a completely separate fry system for these menu items they won't get anywhere with this. And if they do, they won't get anywhere with this and it will cost a lot. |

I was in a plant that makes this fake meat just last week. It's all Textured Vegetable Protein, and nothing more. It's been around for years. Nothing new, nothing natural. I can't believe the hippie crowd is falling for it. This isn't some crappy Quinoa burger. It's highly-processed plant leftovers. I'm not sure what the nutritional value of it is, but it can't be too great.
I've cooked with it off and on before. It's just chewy wads of....stuff. The plant I was in was making meat-free buffalo wings. I highly doubt the Colonel is going to make sure it's not fried in the same oil as the natural meat products.... |

Quoted: Eating the testosterone blocking, xenoestrogen known as soy, might become a non-issue after we begin eating one another: The Wisconsin Senate has approved a new bill that allows for dead bodies to be dissolved in a chemical bath, disposed of like sewage, and spread all over food crops as "biosludge." No coincidences. View Quote |

Are folks frequenting KFC really concerned with healthy choice options?

Gross.
I will eat just as much fake chicken as I eat fake beef...zero point zero. |

Leftist propaganda has made the association with meatless being healthy. All an advertiser has to do is just say it's plant based. Never telling people the plant shit probably kills you faster. |

I liked it and could tell it wasn't beef. I might order another out of morbid curiosity, but don't see a reason to get another. What I don't understand is how they are going to convince me that Deep Fried vegetable slurry is any healthier than Deep Fried Chicken. The unhealthy part is the oil soaked breading and salt needed to make it taste palatable. |

How will you know it's even too old to serve when it all tastes like rubber chicken? The KFC here has always been pretty good, but if I'm eating plants, it better be something involving croutons and ranch dressing. |
