He is much further right than anyone in forever, and appears to be pretty effective. He carries much less baggage than the MTG, Gaetz, etc. I think he is absolutely the best we can hope for. |

Jordan now has 16 votes and counting. Democrats, meanwhile, are prefacing their votes for Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) with words like "unity" and "united." A House Republican who supports Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) for speaker texted that the plan is to keep going until the California Republican is elected. "Both sides are dug in," the member wrote.
