Tag. Might try to rent it somehow. Single player games aren't worth $60-$70 in my opinion
BOTW was amazing |
|
I'm sure it'll be great, but literally none of those scores mean anything. Resident Evil 2 and Cup Head are perfect examples of the trash-tier "journalism" and bullshit scoring. Eta: I wish I had a Switch to play this on. This isn't going to be available on PS5, is it? |
|
Gonna pick it up tomorrow but won't play it until I finish skyward sword, thankfully I'm almost done with it. Botw was amazing and totk looks even better

My youngest has straight A's so I pre-ordered it a week ago for her.
She's pretty hyped about it. |
|
Minor spoilers in the link below for all of the in-game items you get from amiibos. Very similar to BoTW, but the Wolf Link amiibo doesn't spawn a wolf companion anymore
All ToTK amiibo unlocks. For those who don't have all the amiibo, I highly recommend getting the custom cards people sell on Etsy and such. They're little cards with computer chips in them that act just like the designated amiibo. Much cheaper and easier than buying actual amiibos. |

Ordered it for my son, he is pumped about getting it tomorrow

I have zero doubt this new game is going to be good. |

Sounds like it'll fix our big complaints about the first one. I've got the collector's edition pre ordered and getting the standard tomorrow. Looking forward to trying it out.

Replaying BOTW now.
I'll wait for youtube reviews and for the game to go on sale before I buy. I'm not much of a gamer and just use them to burn time in the winter mostly. |

Man, I forgot how awesome it was to play BoTW for the first time. Playing ToTK now is bringing me back. A+

I figured there was no thread because it got leaked 10 days ago,
all the cool kids have beat it already. |

BOTW was just OK to me, and I haven't played it for a few years. Ocarina of Time on the N64 was the best Zelda I've played, and the only one I've played all the way through (I haven't played them all). |
|
Taking my sweet time and only just got to Hyrule. First thing I did was use the amiibo to get Epona, then found a stable to register her.

If I put 100 hrs into it (likely will be a lot more) I've been entertained for $0.70/hrs. Find something cheaper than that. Game related, I've been a little frustrated by some of the mechanics. One power in particular is cumbersome and seems ill-suited to controller. |

Is the weapon degradation still a mechanic? One of things I really hate about BotW.
Edit: Yep, still a thing, oh well |

ToTK is phenomenal. It leaked a couple weeks early and I figured I paid for it so I'll play it. I'm probably 20 hours in and just scratched the surface.
It's a better BotW in every way and then some. It is a game that feels high quality at every step (other than switch graphics, which suffer in a game so large) |

Quoted: Tis a bitter sweet day. Put all my BOTW stuff (including my WiiU) away. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/394169/IMG_8495_jpeg-2813885.JPG View Quote I’ve completed every single thing in BoTW except beating calamity Gannon. I just couldn’t bring myself to close the game. I’m going to pick this one up next week so I can play it on vacation. |

Quoted: I stopped following the Zelda social media pages a month or so ago expecting exactly that to happen. Pretty much playing blind except for funny stuff on Reddit. I broke down and cheated followed this video for some quick decent weapons, and got the Hylian Shield and Champions Tunic.

The building/assembling aspect really slows the flow of the game. I’m only a couple hours in but yikes.

Single player games aren't worth $60-$70 in my opinion BOTW was amazing View Quote If you do the math on the hours of gameplay compared to the cost, you come out way ahead compared to something like going to a movie. I think it's amazing that games haven't really increased much in price in the last 10 years or so. |
