This will be the first lego "kit" I've ever ~~built~~ assembled. I grew up with a huge bucket of legos and a fertile imagination, long before these 3d puzzle kits made of legos were really a thing. I like the S5 kit precisely because it doesn't look like it's made of lego, they didn't stick bumps on bespoke pieces of it just for the aesthetic.

Not sure really, I bought one of those ikea cases to display it in, but I haven't even built mine yet, going to open it in a few weeks for my birthday. I was thinking maybe a small dowel might have enough rigidity to do it, but again I don't know because I don't have my assembled yet

My boys and I put the Saturn V set together a couple weeks ago. This past Monday took them to Kennedy Space Center to see the Saturn V on display (along with all the other goodness there). Picked up a cutaway diagram poster as well, that I need to get framed.

The creator of the apollo V launch tower now released a second model plan to compliment the moon landing. Get the moon scape baseplate as a display and put the lunar module, lunar rover, lunar robot, 2 nano figs + flag and you got some display. Wish I knew what other experiments and other such things left behind were to add onto this thing.

Pretty big and solid, isn't it? Cool that the fuel nozzles are in there but you would never know unless you built it.

Good news, the Saturn V Umbilical Tower and Space Shuttle (Saturn V scale) have both passed the 10,000 supporter tollgate and will be under review by Lego in the next round.

I went to the lego store near me a few weeks ago and asked if they had anymore saturn V rocket sets, guy laughed and said that they probably won't have anymore for up to 4 months.
