Quoted: I tried match and tenex, as well as center x and team outshot them. I think I just got a particularly good lot, so I ordered what few remaining bricks of the same lot that Freeland had. View Quote Tenex, Match and Team are all the same loading made on the same machines and graded by lot quality. They grade the lots and compare quality to orders/demand volume to see what label will be on the box. Team is the lowest graded lots of the premium bullet series, but could be exactly the same as Tenex if they have more Tenex than they have orders for Tenex and Match. At least that’s my understanding. |

The Tenex series is a different bullet made for match shooting. Tenex pricing will be a bit different than Club. |

Center-X has been my go to for years. Serious competitors get their guns lot matched and when I was more serious about shooting precision me and a few friends went through lots of ammo and measured rim thickness of various makes. I went so far as to make a tool so I could use a mic to check. Lapua and RWS had a bit more consistency than the Eley offerings. What I discovered is that there are generally better lots than others of Tenex. The best lots usually get bought up quickly by the serious competitors as they're buying multiple cases at a time. It honestly became so tedious I just settled on Center-X as it was the most consistent with the least amount of fiddling. Not saying its necessarily better just easier to get a random lot that I knew my gun would shoot consistently. |

My 41 with 8 MOA dot for steel. Heavy, but I don't care. It's fast. I do hate the thumb safety because I keep my thumbs high and use two hands. :) |

I put it in my daughter's rifle which is now considered an assault weapon in CT. Her birthday is 10/22 so it was a gift I think I had to use the factory housing to fit the stock. I did not read thru the whole thread. I would like to add a couple things. If you love .22, find an Appleseed shoot near your AO! Second, if you want a great trigger for your 10/22, send it off to Brimstone.

I looked up ruger 77/22 .22LR rifles last night on gunbroker, running around $1000-$1400.00.
Looks like I’ll have to hunt pawn shops / gun shows for one. Maybe hit fort Campbell, went thru there yesterday, saw about 100 pawn shops between Hopkinsville and south Clarksville. I saw an all weather / boat paddle model at the 127 yard sale a few years ago for $400.00, knew I should have grabbed it up. |
