My little 34-1 get's plenty of pest control work from wasp nests with rat shot, rabbits, squirrels and skunks with shorts, and has dispatched wounded coyotes for me.

My best shot was a clean 20 ft between-the-eyes shot on a bigger rattlesnake that was facing me with it's head and upper third way up off the ground. It was pissed and buzzing hard.
It fell dead- light's out.  No squirming or wild wounded snake chase.  The shot was made kneeling through a barbwire fence and into the underbrush.
Perfection that day.  27gr HP blew both it's eyes out.

I know GD hates Rossi. This one has had at least 50,000 rounds through it just by my shooting. It was around 20 years old and heavily used already when I bought it 20 or so years ago.

That random container full of shorts, longs, long rifles, of all grains and manufacturers. No worries, stuff it in the mag tube and send it. 23” barrel so you’ll likely hit your target no matter what ammo you’re shooting.

You are going to love it. I have the steel version. It loves Eley Team, SK pistol match special, and SK long range rifle match.

I’ve shot a 1/2” 10 round group at 100 yards with Eley team on a calm day.

which do most do?  get 10/22 barrel threaded or swap out barrel?  I have to do one or the other. its just the standard most common 10/22 barrel. probably $200 or less budget.

I went the “bought a new barrel route”, because I wanted to know for sure that the threads would be concentric and didn’t want to wait 2-3 months. I also wanted iron sights as my 10/22 is more of a survival/general purpose rifle. I bought the Ruger OEM iron sighted threaded barrel and have had no issues. Accuracy is good I usually get 1 in groups at 50 and 2.25-2.5 inch groups at 100 yds.

You could always get a GM, KIDD, or VQ barrel and do even better than that. I just wanted something light and with irons.

What is that, about $200 worth of rifles when they were new, and about $9000 now?
