I have one of these:

Uromastyx Maliensis

Great little lizard.  They get 100% of their water from their food.  Need a HOT tank, as their native environment is Iraqi deserts and other miserable places.   They live somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 years.  We have had this one for about 6 years, but don't know old he was when we got him.  Their tale hurts when they whip you with it and he goes absolutely bat-shit crazy for strawberries.

Your rainbow is very pretty. I've developed a real interest in snakes. The rainbow is in the running for my first one.

I did alot of reserch on snakes before I bought my rainbow, I picked him because they don't grow over 6 feet. My brother bought a retic and the damn thing was 13 feel long in no time and costing an arm and  a leg to feed rabbits to.

Thats the best part about having them. They are like watch dogs. If anyone pulled in the driveway he'd fly up on the roof and raise holy hell

I worry about the size too. Burms and retics are out for that very reason. There are some very speedy ball morphs around, but they're gorgeous. I like lots of the corn snake varieties too.

Arrowhead Puffer
They come from the Mekong River in China and yes, they are toxic. But since I have no plans on eating him, I'll be fine.
He's about the size of your fist.

Nice Amazon.

Dad paid $7500 for the Hyacinth about 20 years ago. Still has about 80 years to go. Macaws are a pet you can give to your grand kids when you pass on.

Yikes, I had no idea. Quick google, and it looke like anywhere from 2k to 20k for a breeding pair.

Thank you. Only the Hyacinth goes for that much. IIRC you can pick up a Blue and Gold for about 2k.

You won't find Hyacinths for 2k, but if you get a breeding pair, you loose them as pets. Breeding pairs are very territorial and nasty.
