You do realize that 100% of archived threads before 2020 are gone here right?
This thread is to dispel a flawed idea that mainly fudds spread around.

You thought AR-15.com needed your insight?

Fudds?  I am not aware of any "Fudds" below the age of 70 who regularly shoot who believe that a SA centerfire is overall inferior to a LA in all scenarios (outside of .22 caliber).  Of course, I have never resided for any significant period in a "ban" state.  When you hear that argument, it is usually either someone who inherited a few Winchesters and an Ithaca from Dad/Grandpa and doesn't regularly shoot (outside of hunting a few times) or someone who politically/socially bet on the wrong horse and is too stubborn/invested in their opinion to change it.  There was some justice to the LA>SA argument at one time, but those days are long past.  If you hear this argument, just ask them; "that is interesting, why do you think that (insert their statement here)?" , then perhaps inquire as to their experience with various firearms.  My bet is that, if they ever did fire a SA, it was an older .22 model (which were more susceptible to crappy ammo).

No, you lied about what members said, you made accusations, and when called on it you want to slink away and refuse to support your claims.
The definition of a bitch move.

You should own your actions here.

Hey my brother, let's assess.  While we love (or at least can find something to like) about virtually any firearm that; 1) actually works, 2) does not jam or blow up in our face, we are ar15.com (ARFCOM to the initiated).   Our core mission is AR-15-based weapons and builds.  Having said that, we are a very diverse community.  ARF has (and welcomes) everyone: trannies, female college cheerleaders, plumbers, locomotive engineers, surgeons, nurses, retired Air Force Generals, Mennonite farmers, etc.  We come in all ages, sexes, colors, sexual preferences, and even MAY have a couple folks who feel LA > SA in all scenarios.  You name it, we got it!  This is OK, as we collectively like a plethora of different guns for a plethora of different reasons.  Having said all that, one of the real strengths of this site is almost all members (except for a few drive-by trolls) understand that ANY kind of "gun control" will eventually target all "guns" (even BB and toys).  Even the small minority who sometimes seem to dance around "minor" firearms restrictions do not want to see AR's banned/restricted.  The vast majority of members here believe that they should be able to own 8" howitzers (w/ammo and functional FDC systems) if they so wish, and a few belt-feds for perimeter defense in SHTF scenarios.   We are not afraid of recycled "Fudd-washed" Everytown propaganda; we are the diverse multi-racial, multi-cultural organization that inhabits the nightmares of the upper-middle class "wine aunts" and political grifters who claim to want a world of diverse multi-racial, multi-cultural organizations.  So, we are not too worried about about Fudd-washed anti-freedom propaganda, as we are the thing that the propaganda merchants fear most: An engaged, informed citizenry who treasures ALL of their God-given rights.
