Magnums mearly add range, you put a .30 cal hole through lungs and a heart it dies. Also some bullets at magnum speeds will not perform correctly at close range. But it's America here, if you love more recoil and expensive shells be my guest.

I’m a bubba and I’m out east and I have a huge number of friends who hunt deer. I do not know anyone who uses a magnum caliber to shoot deer.
Everything from 223 to 45/70 but no magnums. |
