DENVER A measure to decriminalize psilocybin mushrooms in the city of Denver passed by a thin margin, election officials confirmed Wednesday.

Along the coast you'll hear them boast
About a light they say that shines so clear So raise your glass, we'll drink a toast To the little man who sells you thrills along the pier He'll take you up, he'll bring you down He'll plant your feet back firmly on the ground He flies so high, he swoops so low He knows exactly which way he's gonna go Timothy Leary, Timothy Leary |

I don't care.
However, if they OD or eat bad shrooms let Darwin do his job. |

Good. Psilocybe mushrooms are immensely beneficial for a variety of disorders, including PTSD and depression.
|
|
So potheads get the munchies, what do mushroom heads do? Any way to make $$$ off of them?
|
|
Is it just me or does it seem that plants (or fungi) which grow naturally should NOT be illegal?
I would never do shrooms but I have houseplants right now that would make me sick or even outright kill me if I ingested them and they aren't illegal "for my safety" so WTF? |
|
Awesome. Drunk drivers. High drivers. Tripping drivers. And killer semi's.

Legalize all drugs.
Legalize all of em, whoever is stupid enough to start doing them will likely end up in prison for stealing shit to fund the habit. Society would suck for several years but eventually so many idiots would be in prison the only remaining folks would be the better side of society. Also, eventually people would respect and understand that drugs are for losers. Whos with me? |

They're doubling down on stupid to try to keep the hippies and all their money there () rather than losing the doper tourist money to the west coast.

Heard on the news last night (Local FOX) that it failed, guess they Hillarized the results to get what they wanted.

Good.
You find the damn things growing in your mulch and along the riverbanks here. There's a lot of evidence that they are a gamechanger in the right doses to treat PTSD and depression. Who cares if someone picks a mushroom and eats it? |

Lots of ignorance in this thread.
Prob should do some research on those types of drugs before making dumb statements about OD’ing or being addicted to those types of drugs. It’s also a great religious discussion about why god would create such a “fun” edible mushroom. My only prob with making drugs legal is they will be more easily abused. Used by children who’s minds aren’t developed yet and the driving aspect. Alcohol is no different and should be in the same sentence when you are for or against drugs. I get folks against all of it. I don’t get folks who are ok with just alcohol being legal. |

You’re assuming that isn’t already a daily occurrence in Denver. Now it’s just not quite as illegal. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Ironically, the above poster or many others would use arguments like 'if guns are outlawed, only criminals will have them' never stopping to think the same logic can be applied to virtually any other space. Denver has its oddities, but really all this will result in is less people going to jail. Strangely not bothered by it. |
