Quoted: So you are OK having a leftist scum being elected? Because that is the alternative. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: No candidate is entitled to my vote just because the have (R) next to their name. So you are OK having a leftist scum being elected? Because that is the alternative. This is called “Sending the Republicans a message”. It’s a big thing with people too stupid to understand that living in a republic pretty much guarantees never having precisely the government you want. |

Quoted: I will suffer an imperfect candidate. I will also sometimes hold my nose and vote for a lousy R, if he or she is the best option, to keep a D from taking the seat I will NOT hold my nose and I will NOT vote for the shitty R candidate if the party apparatus actively undermines a viable better candidate and tries to shove the shitty R candidate down my throat. The Republican Party, in those instances, needs to suffer consequences for making those types of choices. View Quote /thread. The shit is rigged at all levels. |

Quoted: No candidate is entitled to my vote just because the have (R) next to their name. There’s this also. These threads and the tone set by posters really illustrate which people believe the system we’ve been working under still works and isn’t saturated with fuckery. The skeptics are still left remembering the past and wondering wtf while the majority are still just chugging along. |

If I don't participate and vote then I don't think I should complain.
I vote for the candidate that most aligns with my values that has a possibility to win. None of the candidates are me so none will align perfectly. |

Both R's and D's get on network news and trash each other.
15 minutes later they are drinking scotch together at the bar. |

Quoted: Quoted: We “controlled” the senate with people like McCain. How did that work out for us? We got a 6-3 Supreme Court majority That's great. As we now watch the country fall apart. Maybe we can just take them to court. |

Because that is the alternative. So when both the R and D candidates are leftist scumbags, the one pretending to be your friend is better? Why is that? I mean, I dont see all but 2 dems voting against gun control, and I see most republicans voting against gun control. So by the numbers the probability favors a better outcome with Republicans. They also got in the justices that saved babies and gun rights |

Because even the smallest victory is better than completely submitting. It's how democrats have gotten to the position they are in now. They took whatever win they could, whenever, wherever, they could take it for decades. Now you pearl clutching purists want everything to be the perfect fix all at once. That's not how it works. |

Quoted: Quoted: So would you rather help elect a RINO who "crosses the aisle" all the time, or just not vote? I guess you just don't understand. I'd rather not waste my time than vote for someone who doesn't represent me. If you don't condemn it, you condone it. You can't expect to hold the people who voted "against Trump" responsible for Biden's utter failures, then expect people to be understanding when you "voted for the lesser of two evils". |

Dems packing the Supreme Court with a majority would suck even more. You would be talking generational “change” that would be next to impossible to undo. But stay home and send a message. You’ll show em. lol. |

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Republicans should stop being worthless, spineless fucks. If they tried that, they might get people To vote for them enthusiastically instead of reluctantly. This election is about control of the Senate. How can you not understand that? I certainly see both sides to this. I think voting for the Republicans just because they aren't the Democrat candidate gives us a lot of craptastic people representing us, Tom Tillis and Richard Burr for example. However, I think we all need to look at how important the Supreme Court appointments made under Trump have been. I will always try to get my guy in at the primary but I will go pull the lever for the R candidates in the general because not doing it only helps the Dems. |

Love it when there's a 3rd party candidate that people can vote for on principle, and the consequences of those votes.

That’s how we got to the point where we’re even having this conversation. Don't complain when you fill your gas tank. I’ll complain plenty. I vote for shifty R candidates all the time for exactly the reasons you’re talking about. Ideological purity has to give way to pragmatism all the time. What I said I won’t do is to accept the party’s interference by actively working against good candidates, throwing the money behind establishment sycophants, and telling the electorate “fuck you, who else are you gonna vote for?” Well…”fuck you” right back. And, yes, I’m perfectly happy to accept those results. If the Republican Party wants to fuck with me, I’m not good with rewarding them for it. |
