I have 3 tractors and 5 4wd vehicles.
The only snow I clear is off the porch. |

I hate snow plowing. Le tits now, the roads should all be braaap season for skidoos. Effing boomers up at dark thirty running their blowers on the road so they can go to the store to buy half a loaf of bread and 6 eggs. Then they get stuck by my mailbox because they have wrong wheel drive caddy on bald tires from 2004 on them still. Note, them yanking their caddy out of the ditch with a strap on the wheel will alter the geometry and then they have to pay to get it flatbedded out.

Each year I hand someone $350 cash in October and snow magically disappears for the rest of winter.

Quoted: Ooof, do you have to plow all that with just the bucket? View Quote That picture is from a spring storm a couple of years ago, 24" of wet heavy stuff. We usually don't get that stuff out here, dry with concrete like drifts is more common so it's not too bad with just the bucket but my driveway is about 1/2 mile long. If you leave a windrow they tend to fill up with drifts so a snow blower would be nice to throw the snow well away from the right of way. ETA: When I live in Michigan I had a 95 F-250 with a Fisher plow, but we regularly got over 200" of snow there, in the high desert we don't see near that much. |

Look into a snow pusher attachment. Much cheaper than a snow blower implement and nothing to maintain mechanically.

After the county goes by plowing, I usually have to go perch my braaap track up on the pile, then rip it for a few passes to undo the gov't work, so it throws all the snow back on the road so I can keep the kids loop for their snowmobiles going. No one goes on the road but us and the delivery people. Gov't knows best, plow it all because no one puts snowflake rated tires on and prefers snowmobiling.

Quoted: Holy smokes, is that your house? View Quote The pic is from 4-5 years ago. I can’t remember how much snow we got that year but I could walk up on the roof of my garage. Attached File I had access to a D6 to keep my driveway clean but shoveling around the house sucked. Attached File Attached File Summer pic for reference: Attached File The snow slides off the metal roof and piles up which makes it worse for keeping the access clean. |

My front door: Attached File I kept my truck parked about 1/4 mile from my house and I’d snowshoe to it so I can drive to work. It sucked. I loved living there but I had to sell our dream home when my wife was diagnosed with cancer. We’d love to get back there now that my wife is in remission but we’ve been priced out by the California invaders. After snow removal: Attached File |
