The pic is from 4-5 years ago. I can’t remember how much snow we got that year but I could walk up on the roof of my garage.

https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/196752/B41C64D2-C99E-46EB-B392-8B706E46120B_jpe-2645613.JPG

I had access to a D6 to keep my driveway clean but shoveling around the house sucked.

https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/196752/F3DD1EAE-937B-48B2-867A-7ED4CD033044_jpe-2645620.JPG

https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/196752/144E0E1E-5019-4FCE-AEA7-6A99916DF3D5_jpe-2645621.JPG

Summer pic for reference:

The snow slides off the metal roof and piles up which makes it worse for keeping the access clean.

That looks like a really nice place. I'm jealous. I should just move to where I want to live. Oklahoma in the rear view mirror.

I have this little guy — a John Deere 445 with the 46” blower. All hydraulic, it’s like a big little tractor. I have tons of attachments for it, hydraulic blade, mower deck, carry all, etc.

I just shovel or sweep it and take my time. I got it done even in the -17 yesterday. Driveway. sidewalks, back patio and walks. It was cold though!

Old picture, we've since moved but the setup is the same.  This thing can really move some snow.  Needs a cab but they're more $$ than I want to spend.

It was based at Delta Yard in Everett. Stationed at Skykomish in the winter.

Sadly, it has since been decommissioned and scrapped after significant corrosion was discovered in the center sill.

Here’s another of the old ex-GN snowdozers, also at Delta:

1967 Kaiser Willys M715.

The guy who sold it to me owned a trucking/equipment company. He converted it to 12V, put in a 350 Chevy v8, TH350 transmission, power steering and brakes,  and the snow plow. It’s geared 5.87 and it does a fantastic job clearing my driveway in heavy snow.

I had a brake line bust, I think I’m gonna have to bite the bullet and buy a fabbing kit and make all new lines, the originals are finally giving up the ghost.

And sometimes this.  It looks small in the pic for some reason, but it's a 40hp Massey Ferguson industrial tractor with a 66" blower.  I have a heated hard cab for it.

I bought this flaring tool and the copper nickel bulk brake line. I've done several cars and can't belive how much better the results are over the old kits I used in the Navy.

I like the Green allot better then the orange and black, I’ll be honest though, I have a soft spot for the old GN blue and white. There’s a old rotary in the wenatchee yard, I figure they must use it for Wenatchee to the eastern entrance?

It might not work for the entire braking system since it was modified by the previous owner. Also the pre-bent kits don't always fit correctly. I have experience with that as well.

The hubs, wheel cylinders, drums etc were rebuilt in 2015 when I bought it—everything in the wheels was brand new. The lines and fitting from the master cylinder back were redone at some point—I think when he did the conversion back in the 70’s. I’ve only driven it on my property, so only a few hundred miles doing chores etc.  But I think I’ll buy the bending/flaring kit etc and just go from the master cylinder on back. I recently spent a couple weeks fabbing lines in our lab (oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen etc) and got a pretty good feel for it.

Big ag tractors with back-blades.
Deere front end loaders.
Kubota tracked skid steers.
JCB Robot with a hydraulic snow-thrower attachment.  That thing is tits!!!  Throws snow 30 yards easily.
Yamaha Rhino with a 6' blade.

If I don't feel like screwing with it I just text my landscaper and he sends one of his guys in an F350 to plow it.

I’m in the babnana belt of CO, so this only needs done a couple times a year.
Compared to shoveling, a worthwhile investment.
