Until something massive and pretty brutal is done to stop this shit it will continue to get worse. They only way to turn this around will be Machiavellian.
We as a country are so far between on what has to be done to get shit straightened out I doubt it is possible. This applies on many levels and on many fronts. Basically we are screwed. |

Quoted: Well I mean, there's always going to be some amount of drug use at a concert. I'm not trying to misrepresent them all as angels, but they're also not fucking ruining everything around them, shooting each other, beating each other up, blocking traffic with twerk offs, and smashing peoples cars. While I was driving for Uber a few years ago, I had a carload of passengers going across the bridge to Miami Beach
when a shooting occurred and police locked down everything on the south end. Nothing was moving. We sat on that bridge for over 2.5 hours during the manhunt. It took another hour and a half to drop these people off. Uber paid me a little over $23 for that ride. |

The only reason to go to Miami is passing through on your way to the Keys. They can have Miami, let it burn.

Quoted: My wife was at the family house on 30A this past week, and said the place was dead. Even Panama City Beach area was not crowded, considering it was Spring Break. Of course the weather was unusually cool for most of the week. . View Quote Had to go out to the beach side of the bridge this past weekend and things at Pier Park were unusually quiet. The weather has been an issue, I wonder if the police presence ahead of this coming weekend has anything to do with it. |

Quoted: Miami became the safe place for BCR since Daytona kicked that event out because reasons. Miami now knows those reasons. View Quote I think BCR went to Atlanta and somewhere in north Carolina (Myrtle Beach?) first. Spring break in Daytona in the 90's was a bacanallian carnival of drunkenness and titties. The kids would trash hotel rooms, throw the room furniture in the pool, and fall while climbing from balcony to balcony. There was also bad traffic. BCR was awful. Riots, violence, shootings, etc. The local jail opened a substation along the river to process the crowds. The local businesses would get looted, next year they would board up their windows and close, then get sued by the NAACP and ACLU. The next year when they were forced to open they were looted again. Good luck Miami Beach. You are going to need it. |

Bet they don't play no Bluegrass up in there!
In contrast, wife and I spent a nice long weekend at Suwannee Spring Reunion, Live Oak FL, with some old and young hippies. No fights, shooting, stealing or robbing took place that I know of. There were clouds of funny smelling smoke though. |
