Was that real Hemi stuff or aftermarket?
No fuel in the tank? I've been racing for 40 years. That's an idiot move. I don't even want to be next to someone that sloppy. Something about guys with money tearing up good, vintage, often irreplaceable parts and cars, due to stupidity and/or just for kicks, and laugh about it, makes it impossible to have any respect for them. Some I know, some I just hear about. Just another YouTube clownshow. |

Not to excuse it, but for a lot of these guys, it's a test of personal physical stamina. ETA: Here's the vid for the start for his latest KB build. BLEW UP THE HEMI! NOW HOW DO WE FIX IT? |

Saw on Instagram they are reringing the 535 KB, slapping it back together and running at the tracks, even though they are out.

Quoted: Yep. As soon as Roadkill got Dodge sponsorship, it sorta lost its way. The early stuff was great, and I watched all of them at least once...but once everything was Dodge this and Dodge that, I was out (and I certainly wasn't going to pay for it). I was late coming to VGG, but I loved his early stuff as well. Now, however, it seems like he is purposefully making his videos longer, and some of his schtick is wearing thin on me...but I'm guessing I'm not the target audience. It gets old, sometimes...as a car guy (albeit a poor one), it sometimes grinds my goat a little when one show is installing the fourth lift in his new shop, and the next he's refusing to change spark plug wires because they cost money. Rich guys acting like they're poor is not as entertaining as you'd think (to me, anyway). View Quote Not sure I agree with your "rich guys acting like poor guys" as far as Roadkill goes. Now, when they're on the road doing those cross-country trips in sketchy vehicles, they've applied the bandaid fixes, often with whatever was available. However, on their project cars they clearly show and talk about the many high dollar components supplied by different vendors and manufacturers. I think everyone knows that the Roadkill guys themselves have tremendous resources at hand, but they still do the on-the-road snafus and roadside fixes in those types of episodes. As far as Finnegan's '55 goes, that is one badass hotrod. It's running pretty close to the ragged edge of anything street capable, so when Mike puts the pedal to the metal at the dragstrip, any little thing can go wrong and go wrong big time. |

I enjoyed roadkill a lot early on and mike and David had a great screen presence together!!
When they went $$$ and mike moved to Georgia I back off and got hooked on vice grip garage. Very fun and after watching Cleetus race in Bristol they all run together. Neat!! Finnegan said he hates blasphemi now, hopefully that changes. Think I saw that he gifted blasphemis original hemi to freiberger so back to square one lol |

Quoted: Having been on the starting line for all sorts of stuff, these drag and drive events are just slightly above your “street car run what you brung” events as far as preparedness goes. It’s a mad dash daily to get your passes in and make sure everything is good. Then driving a few hundred miles Which is why I’m building a car for it. It’s wild. I really enjoy both their YouTube’s and maybe will make an event sometime in the next couple Years shew. I’m glad to hear it, been following that journey since the beginning and it’s badass. My best friend died of cancer in 2012, we drag raced fox body mustangs together every weekend. After he beat cancer the first time he saw two lane blacktop and decided to find a 55 Chevy!! Mikes journey reminded me of my best friend so it close to the heart. |

Quoted: Where are the updates? I haven't seen anything go up on YouTube View Quote I don't think he knows how to or doesn't want to edit video so he's slow as shit getting stuff up. I remember during covid he was talking about an Asian lady neighbor that was now doing his video editing and back of house stuff. The only actual updates I've seen are what he posts to Facebook/Instagram. ETA: It also looks like they may have been trying to turn it into a Roadkill episode judging the number of cameras that showed up in the background of his IG feed so if that's the case who knows how much footage we'll actually see on youtube. This is one of his big problems, he's always trying to do too much leading to stupid stuff happening to his cars. |

Alex is kinda like drag racing's little sister. We've all watched her grow up doing the drag and drive events and she is super hard working and quite knowledgeable at this point. I chatted with Dennis for a while at PRI last year at the hotel and you won't find a more humble, talented guy. Speaking of which, it sounds like we need to organize a PRI Arfcom meetup. I've got a booth on machinery row and my shit is probably going to be in a couple other booths as well. |

When I was living right up the road and working directly for the NHRA, it was easy to make happen. I still have a way in, but living in GA and having things going on down here make squeezing time much more difficult. It is fun seeing how much crossover there is between the car community and the gun community, though. I'm always running into guys that I know from one while out doing the other |
