It's amazing how fast the talking points are developed. All Hawaii officials immediately pivot to "This wouldn't be an issue if Trump wasn't provoking North Korea!"
In reality if this was a mistake it would be total incompetence on a state level, a state ran entierly by democrats.

Back in the 60s, at an early warning array in Iceland, suddenly registered over a thousand inbound ICBMs. It took 20 minutes for the folks to figure out that what was happening was a mistake in their computer program. No one on the design team figured the radar was powerful enough for the beam to hit the rising moon and return, so the computer, programmed to report on objects 1-2 thousand miles away, took the 200,000 mile return pulse and divided the distance by the original watch distance.
Strange things happen. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if we find out 30 years from now that the alert was triggered by a hypersonic test aircraft. |
